Are you confident of a Patriots win?

It's Friday and I am getting a wee bit nervous about this. I think the Patriots win. I think the game will be a lot closer than the last one.It may even come down to a 4th quarter drive or stop.

We have all live through these big games over the past 10 years adn should be use to them and be confident. But this is against the Jets and it will be very hard to accept should things not turn out the right way.

Are you getting nervous?

Let me preface this with the fact that I think we will win and probably by a pretty big margin. However, ever since 2007 I have been nervous about pretty much every game. I got a stress headache from the game vs Green Bay this year.

The thing that makes a win so sweet and a loss so sour for me is that I now live in NYC and have to deal with a lot of friends who are Jets fans. I know I will get it if the Patriots lose and I really don't want to have to deal with it.

I look at it this way. In the NFL, any team can come out on top. This isn't baseball where there are 5 and 7 game series. Anyone can lose one game. Just look at the Saints last week losing to the Sea Hawks. In the back of my mind, there's thought that we could lose.

With that said, the Patriots deserve to win this. They are the best team in the NFL at this point, and they've come a long way since the beginning of the season. The Patriots weren't even considered a top 10 team at the beginning of the season and look at them now.

It wont come down to a 4th quarter drive, Jets wont score enough points to make it that type of game. I was nervous before last game as well. Look what happened.

Imagine how nervous Jets fans are?

Agreed! I dont want to get over confident but did you see what we did to them last game? They have to be more nervous than us!

I kind of agree with this. I am always much more anxious/nervous leading up to the game than when the game actually starts. But my nerves will start to creep up again late in the game if its close.

I think it will be close. I am a little nervous because Wes just said yesterday's practice was not good. when they have bad practices they play bad.
Imagine the offseason if the Patriots lose to the Jets at home. i just think the Patriots defense will have trouble with the Jets running game. Can they stop the Jets offense from having long drives and limiting Brady's chances? I do not think so.

I am confident. I am not starting to be a little nervous like the poll option I selected, but I do think there is a small chance the Jets might win. Maybe in the 10-20% range.

I'm very confident but I don't plan to nap during the game. I don't want to miss a single minute of this epic game where the Pats offense 'destroys Alderaan', uhh the Jets defense. ^_^

Agreed. I was nervous during many of the 2007 games and the only one I felt remotely overconfident, we lose.

There's always a chance the Jets will win. There's also a chance a meteor will hit my house during the game. Nothing surprises me.

As you can see by my post I am very confident. There is a traitor out there!! But lucky for the Jets, this poll doesnt effect the game.

In the infinite Multiverse of quantum probabilities there may be myriad universes where the wave function collapses into a Jets win. Me, I play the far greater probabilities in our favor and hope to be in one of the other universes where Hell does not reign.

I did not take the poll, but I am not real confident in the Patriots defense. I am a Patriots fan but I am kinda surprised that the Patriots were 14-2. If someone had told me at the beginning of the season that the Patriots would be 14-2 , I would not have believed them. They have a very young defense that needs to create turnovers in order to be successful. What happens if the Jets have no turnovers?

non x's and o's - iam always nervous but extremely nervous when playing vs teams which a)we are favored big to win and b)hate to lose against. if this was baltimore i wouldnt be as nervous but the fear of the aftermath if the jets win makes me extremely nervous. Thats why i hoped indy had won.
on the X's and O's side, the packer's running game and bills first drive vs our very think dline with pryor out makes me worried as does the fact that the D has forced turnovers in every game so it will be interesting to see if they can win if the jets dont turn the ball over. +28 is really an abnormal number .
