And? They destroyed teams that had been getting destroyed. Derek Anderson passed for 328 yards and 5 td's on the Bengals. Brady threw for 231 and 3 TD's
Trent Green threw for 318 and 1 td against the jets. Brady threw for 297 and 3 td's
Jay Cuter passed for 304 yards and 1 td against The Bills. Brady threw for 311 and 4 TD's.
Farve passed for 369 yards and 3 td's on the Chargers. Brady threw for 279 and 3 td's
What do these stats show? that while yes the Pats do have a really good offense it is nothing close to unbelievable, the teams they have been playing have been getting torched all year and are horrible. In two of those games other QB's put up better numbers than Brady (Farve and and Anderson) I'd like to see how these numbers look at the end of the year I doubt they will stay on the level they are at now
Robert Mathis and Dwight Freeney are talented defensive lineman, the rest of the defensive line is trash with little depth whatsoever. Quinn Pit**** has potential however he can't even beat out an undrafted rookie at defensive tackle. The DBs are fairly solid if unspectacular and the D-line is very talanted.
I didn't say it was acceptable, but it served to show how formidible Titans were against the Jags, and how we were able to "contain" them.If you believe allowing 141 rushing yards a game is acceptable, well you are truly an imbecile. As for the Houston Texans, their offense was missing their top two running backs and their best receiver (by far incidentally) against the Indianapolis Colts. Take away the best wide receiver and the top two running backs on the Colts roster, the Colts offense becomes a house of cards, as was the case with the Houston Texans. So injuries are an excuse for the Colts, but not for their opponents.
How many starters on the Colts offense have missed games this season?
Undrafted yes. Colts took a chance on a guy who got into trouble at Penn State. Otherwise, he's a first day guy.Robert Mathis and Dwight Freeney are talented defensive lineman, the rest of the defensive line is trash with little depth whatsoever. So according to you, Ahman Green and Ron Dayne suck only because you say so. By that logic, Raheem Brock and Ed Johnson suck because an undersized lineman and an undrafted rookie lineman have very little talent to play defensive tackle in the NFL. By the way, Brock and Johnson would not even sniff the Patriots roster.I didn't say it was acceptable, but it served to show how formidible Titans were against the Jags, and how we were able to "contain" them.
I am NOT BUYING the Texan arguement. When you sign a 10 year vet, who has been injury prone of late, that's your fault, not mine. You get what you get. Gado started 5 games for the Pack in '05. Played in 8, scored 6 times, and had close to 600 yards rushing. Extrapolate it, and that's a good year. He's a capable replacement. Dayne is an 8 year vet who has taken a little beating, and has also been injury prone of late. These guys made no difference. Again, you get what you get. Andre was a big loss, admittedly, but they went to the short stuff, and it worked late.
Not sure I used injury as an excuse for the Colts, maybe alluded to not missing a beat due to injury.
You have lost all credibility with that statement since neither NFL Draft Scout nor NFL Draft Countdown have him rated higher than an undrafted prospect. Colts fans certainly overrate their defensive players.Undrafted yes. Colts took a chance on a guy who got into trouble at Penn State. Otherwise, he's a first day guy.
They didn't have him on their boards because of his past transgressions, sir. Talent wise, he was considered a first day guy.You have lost all credibility with that statement since neither NFL Draft Scout nor NFL Draft Countdown have him rated higher than an undrafted prospect. IMO what they have done so far is just smoke and mirrors.
Wait till they play us.
Wait till the playoffs.
Indy kept its core offensive players and will be a very dangerous team.
I believe its opponents are 8-4 excluding the 4 losses Indy has handed them; Pats opponents are 4-8 excluding the losses from the Pats.
One interesting thing about the Pats: the teams they beat seem to be more than just beat, they are demoralized, esp. SD and Cincy.
Addai looks good, but consider how good E. James looked when at Indy and how unimpressive he looks at AZ. Age ... or OL? When Indy runs the stretch, it often seems like the RB does not get touched for a few yards after the line.
Maroney v Addai? Too early and bad comparison. They are in different systems and expected to do different things.
I've seen a few posts that this season will be a bust if we do not win SB. There are other good teams and the ball can bounce funny. In any given game, we could have 4 turnovers (like against Denver) and a 98-yard INT return. Throw in a few bad calls against DBs and you have a bad playoff loss with a lopsided score.
Once again, you have zero credibility. Not one draft site has ever mentioned that Ed Johnson was ever considered a first day draft talent. All you do is post blasphemy on the PatsFans message board. They didn't have him on their boards because of his past transgressions, sir. Talent wise, he was considered a first day guy.
LOL, why don't YOU watch the games, instead of ripping off a few lines from an injury report.
Colts have been smacking folks in the mouth, as evidenced by their number of forced fumbles.
In addition, Colts have 5 picks this year, four by the "new guys.
And as the pevious poster stated, look how Manning feasted on those CB's we lost.
Colts fans post crap on the PatsFans message board only to see if anything will stick. I'm not buying one argument or statement from He Ban Me since there is always an excuse for the Colts defensive deficiencies.Incidently, you do realize the guys starting at some of these key defensive roles were backing up those players who you now believe suck? If the new guys are so much better than why were they stuck behind those players last year?
Personnel wise, the Colts ARE better than last season. They are more athletic, more physical, and quicker than they have been in quite some time. The Colts secondary never really got much respect in the past, yet now that those guys are gone, they become unreplaceable?? Remember '05? How did Harper and David look then? How did David look in the opener? Experience wise, one could say they are lacking, but many of our current defensive starters were drafted in rounds 1-3, and none of them are rookies (save for Ed Johnson). Certainly would like to have guys like Booger and Morris (and Reagor) in the mix, but what team goes an entire season without suffering an IR or three?
Someone mentioned that offensively, we are not as good. That we blew folks out last year. They really didn't. 1 point win at home V. TN. 7 point win at home V. Jax. 5 point win @ Giants, Buffalo @ home by 1, Miami @ home by 5. Throw in 4 losses. Blew out Eagles abd Texans at home, that's about it.
Tarik loss hurts, but you wouldn't know it. Rhodes hurts, but you wouldn't know it. Harrison for the 2nd half last week, but you wouldn't know it. Hell, Sanders 2nd half last week, and you wouldn't know it. Colts, over the last two seasons, have sustaine the loss of a lot of players, but they keep playing strong.
And you are diluted!!!
