Last call for April 11 Trivia

April 11, 1994:
Pats sign free agent CB Ricky Reynolds, after seven seasons in Tampa. Reynolds would start at corner for the next three seasons in New England, with six interceptions (including one pick-six) for the Pats.

April 11, 2006:
Patriots re-sign Randall Gay to a one-year contract

Unfortunately the corner from LSU went on IR seven weeks later, missing all but three games of the '06 season. It was the second year in a row that he went on injured reserve, after finishing '05 on the sidelines with an Achilles tendon injury. Gay bounced back to play every game in 2007, then spent the next three seasons with the New Orleans Saints.

Randall Jerome Gay Jr. played in three super bowls: the Pats win over Philadelphia, the '07 loss to the Giants, and the 2010 Saints victory over Peyton and the Colts.

April 11, 2012:
Free agent Antwaun Molden departs and signs with the Giants

Molden failed to make the G-men's roster, and finished his career with three games played for Jacksonville in 2012.

Former Colonel and NFL player Antwaun Molden returned to the EKU football program as a defensive quality control coach in the summer of 2018.

Molden played three seasons with the Colonels (2005-07) and then played six seasons in the NFL. He was drafted in the third round by the Houston Texans in the 2008 NFL Draft.

The defensive back from Cleveland, Ohio totaled 143 tackles, and three interceptions while playing in 33 games for EKU.

Molden began his pro career by playing three seasons with the Texans (2008-10). He had 17 tackles while playing in 14 games as a rookie in 2008. In 2011 he played in 16 games while helping the New England Patriots advance to Super Bowl XLVI. Molden had two interceptions and 25 tackles that season. He was a member of the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2012 and 2013 and concluded his pro career with the Toronto Argonaunts in 2014.

Molden has worked as a risk advisor for State Farm since 2016. He earned a bachelor of arts degree in criminal justice at EKU.
