This is one heck of a game ...

A great college football game ... the play, the drama, the crowd ... all of it.

The defense has been horrible in the 2nd half and especially the 4th quarter but it's led to an exciting game ... last one to score wins.

The Orange bowl produced over 1,000 yards of offense, had a ton of lead changes, had a safety, and had missed extra points from both teams. It was exciting as hell to be honest with you, and went down to the last possession.

One thing's for sure, we know that Bill Belichick surely wasn't interested in the Orange bowl--seeing as how he never selects players from either one of the Clemson or Ohio State programs.

It's a shame, because there is some top notch talent on both sides.

Of course that may change now with Urban Meyer at the helm. I'd think that there were plenty of players in the trenches on both teams, along with OSU RB Carlos Hyde and UC WR Sammy Watkins.

Nate Ebner says hi.

Aside from Nate Ebner of course, who is a bit role player on special teams and did not take more than a handful of snaps on defense during his career at OSU, I don't believe we've had many, if any Buckeyes; and we surely haven't had many, if any Clemson players.

Bill Belichick has stayed pretty far away from these 2 schools during his tenure here.

We had some connection to Clemson this past pre-season signing Brandon Ford and I'm sure we worked out a Clemson OL too. And they also worked out Andre Ellington and DeAndre Hopkins pre draft. Not exactly a ringing endorsement but not an embargo either.

Although BB didn't draft him, Mike Vrabel was a Buckeye.

Definitely agree. Hyde is my favorite power back so far and would love to have him.

FAs Bobby Carpenter was around for a while and wasnt Anthony Gonzalez in for training camp or something? A problem for OSU had been that their players were always in trouble.

Clemson meh. Lately theyve been pretty good, but the only player that really jumps of board since 2001 is Spiller. DraftHistory.com

This is beginning to become a theme in college football. Ohio State and Clemson might as well have not even fielded defenses last night and the NCAA instead should have just put dummies and bear traps all over the field to make the offenses have to drive. I did enjoy watching LOLOhio State drop another one last night. How's the ticker doing, Urban? Wanted to spend more time with your family, eh? Is that why you took a job with ESPN immediately after you left Florida then jumped at the first big time program to offer you a job?

Urban Meyer - FOB.

Look for draftees from The Ohio State University in the very near future.
