Anyone miss Thursday Night Football?

I've always had mixed feelings about Thursday Night Football and although most of the match-ups have been poor, I usually had it on.

We didn't watch it much this year, although we just checked to see if there was a game tonight! I watched a lot less football in general this year though it seems like the games have been better (and my NFL anger has dissipated) lately.

The worst part of Thursday Night Football this year has been the matchups. Absolute garbage this year, the fact that they (obviously) can't flex in/out of games makes it a total crapshoot.

Look at those awful games.

What I do NOT want is a 17-18 regular game season, or 14 playoff teams and one of those is sadly going to happen may be the final straw for me eventually.

Imagine if they do BOTH? The regular season gets diluted big time (via more playoff teams) yet they also EXTEND said diluted product.

My biggest gripe is the arrogance of the league : let's put anyone on there & people will watch. As someone mentionned earlier, this season's matchups were gross.

It's not good for the players and such - but purely as a fan of football, I liked having it on when good teams would play. That just hasn't been the case this year.

Yes, I miss it.

I will watch all NFL games, mon, thurs, sat, sun...all of them ALL.

I watch highlights every day - NFL Network, CNNSE, NESN etc.

I listen to talk radio 98.5/WEEI and NFL network (not at the same time).

I read this group and twitter feeds are primarily football related, I'm on patriots.com several times a day, I even go to opposing teams message boards to see what's going on.

The only Thursday night games worth watching are week one and Thanksgiving. For the most part, I don't watch the others any more.

The NFL has really put a damper on my enthusiasm for the NFL.

So every team got a TNF game? If they had to keep TNF I would start it on weeks 8 through 15. I would not make it mandatory that every team gets a TNF game.

Yeah, I usually just forget there's a game on, but even on the nights I remember, it's a ****ty matchup. Unless the game is the Pats or has a direct effect on the Pats, I generally skip it. Not out of anger...just don't care anymore.

Had to fill in for 2nd shift tonight, would've watched if it was available. But usually sound asleep about this time on normal Thursday nights!
