Anyone going to the Jaguars game on X-mas Eve?

Just curious if anyone else is planning a road trip to Jacksonville. I am hoping to tailgate with some fellow pats fans.

My husband and I will be there, likely along with some more of the Atlanta-based Patriots contingent. . .it's only a 4 hour drive for us.

Yeah, until about April 6th at 2pm when I found out it was on x-mas friggin eve. Man the NFL screwed my travel plans this year!

I'm about 100 miles from Jacksonville and was looking into buying season tix just to make sure I would get the Pats game, once the schedule came out, I figured that it wil be easy to get tickets (and most likely pretty good ones). My Christmas will either be at home or in Orlando, it is about the same distance either way. There is a Hooters in the Jacksonville Landings about a 1/2 mile north of the stadium. If you are looking to stay, I highy recomend the Hilton, it is one the St. John's River and water taxi that takes you to both the stadium and Jacksonville Landing (where all the rest./bars are). Plus the Hilton has a Ruth Chris Steakhouse in it. There is also an Adam's Mark on the other side of the River which would allow you to walk to everything. I'm guessing the Christmas Eve should be slow, I haven't checked the rates yet, but I doubt that it will be that bad.

Pick the time and place and I'll be there for the tailgate.

I bought season tix for the same exact reason, I wanted to make sure I had them. I am currently trying to sell the other 7 regular and 2 pre-season games. I am glad I did because they have nearly sold all of their alloted Season Tix and the group tickets are sold out for most of the games including the Pats. I am staying at the Marriot on Salisbury road. I haven't figured out where to tailgate yet. I was hoping someone lived in the area and could give me an idea. The weather will be a hell of a lot better then it was last December in Buffalo!

I chose Jax as my primary plan and Tenn as my backup plan. When the schedule came out I was p!ssed because I figured there wasn't a snowball's chance in hell that my wife would want to go down to the game during either holiday weekend. Then she said Christmas in Florida sounds fun! And I instantly went :woohoo: ! No in-laws this year, hell yeah!

I sold 2 cowboys tickets to a co-worker and 2 of the Pitt tickets on ebay for $310. I listed the Jets,Titans and Texans over the Draft weekend and none of them sold. I have the jets listed on ebay and it ends tomorrow. No unfortunately I am not going to the Colts game it is 700 miles away. I am hoping the Colts tickets bring in the money. If they are neck and neck in late Sep early Oct then I will put them on Ebay, that game could decide the division. If everything works out the tickets I sell should cover my tickets to the Pats game and part of the cost of the trip. I am willing to sell any of the tickets I have left. They are in section 241 row K seats 10-15. Face value is $65 if they are interested have them make an offer.

My feelings exactly. . .no in-laws!! We're doing Xmas in Jax and New Years in Nashville. There are some great bars in Nashville, so I think after the game we're going to head to the Wild Horse Saloon. . .We're going to stay at the Doubletree in NSH and we're staying in Ponte Vedra for the Jax game. Downtown is pretty dead in the winter (the husband used to live there- it was terrible- couldn't even get a drink at the Landing after 10!)

Nasheville sounds like fun, I have driven through but I have not visited. Same with Jax, we are staying 15 minutes south of the stadium (got a great deal on priceline $65 a night at the Marriot).
