Anybody else just get really excited for the draft???

No since last year, they reorder the draft for playoff teams based on where the team was eliminated. We have pick 28, Jets have 29 in the 1st round I believe.

So it should fall like this?
Pats 17,28,33,56,67,84, 112, 140,168,196
Jets 29, 82, 121, 145,174

Numbers are a bit off.

Right now, the Patriots are scheduled to have SIX picks before the JEST have two.

Why? The draft is gonna happen before a new CBA is announced and CBA talk is really boring compared to draft talk.

the draft is going to happen regardless of whether the new CBA is in place. however, obviosly no matter who we draft, they won't play next year unless there is a season.

what's not to excited about? 8 picks in the first 4 rounds.

Yes I know the draft happens regardless, but no football for the next year and half isn't exciting.

I like the fact we are 2 picks ahead of the Jets. That should make them quite nervous as always

Well, at least this year we might get to see/hear/read about two picks in the first day, rather than having to evaluate a draft based upon one pick in a vacuum.


That's a significant improvement, unless BB trades down again.

I thought we had only one pick in the 4th round. I know we originally had 2, but didn't we trade one pick to the Seahawks for Branch?
