Any chance that the Patriots could possibly lure TE Gonzalez back for one more year?

Semi-OT: Any chance that we could possibly lure TE Gonzalez back for one more...

I would like to, but the 2te I think is over. Gronk will be back all of next year, but probably not the normal gronk. I really like what Hooman does. Get a FA TE and go after some of the glaring holes.

I'd love to have Tony G. but he would not come cheap, Scott Chandler would probably be a much better move.

we just need another TE who can catch the ball. even a JAG one. hooman/Mulligan dont really cut it as pass catchers.(but maybe they just dont throw to hooman enough for him to showcase it, that TD catch was nice)

I think besides Gronk though our offense will be more WR oriented next year. we have 3 rookies going to year two who should make the year 2 jump Dobson,Boyce,Thompkins plus Amendola and hopefully Edelman...

Great thoughts and comments, thanks.

I don't normally fall for the "fantastical" kind of moves talk, but in this case a guy like Tony Gonzalez just seems to me like he warrants more than the usual consideration due to being the kind of vet signing that could bring a mutual benefit for both sides.

His leadership, veteran experience, and desire to win a possible championship (along with playing with Belichick and Brady) have to count as more than most, and from the comments that I've heard---he seemed to have left the door open in the slightest bit.
