I think if the Patriots wanted him on the exempt list, they've already set up plausible deniability for the franchise, and would have requested he be put on that list, and it would have been done before Belichick took the podium.

Why would the Pats want him on that list?

Boston media butt hurt twice in the last 72 hours for not getting their way:

Brown's lawyer claims they have correspondence showing that she continued to contact him "through 2018."

He has a good reason to keep that a secret until court, as to the specific correspondence. So, that certainly will play into this.

On the other hand, the timeline of the letter he wrote is a little weasely, because he earlier emphasizes "through 2018," he then says she contacted him for tickets again in "the winter of 2018" which could mean January/February or December, but then he ends with the incident of the alleged rape.

So, it's as clear as mud. If she continued to contact him after May, then that totally undercuts her story. And I understand why Brown's lawyer would want to keep this all under wraps until court. But his letter gives the impression that he's being a weasely lawyer.

Haven't you learned anything? Notwithstanding that he hasn't acted against Kraft who faced criminal charges and the appearance of favoritism (rich white guy walks and black guy is suspended based solely on civil allegations) Goodell can do anything he wants.
