I didn’t know there were different levels lol maybe I’m confused. I always thought stat padding was essentially defined as putting up numbers when your team has no chance of winning, so the numbers make it seem as if you played better than you did.There's stat padding and huge stat padding.
I think of Carson Palmer, Jay Cutler, and Matt Stafford when I think of “stat padding”. Wouldn’t Manning, Brady, and Brees be the exact opposite? If anything, they should have “piling on” stats for numbers they put up when they already had the game won. Look at Brady in ‘07 or Manning in ‘04 and ‘05.
