All quiet on the Ty Law front?

Guess again. Ty Law has become a mercenary and will sign with the highest bidder.

That's who he was, it remains to be seen who he is circa 2008. He said in an interview last week he has to play for a team that wins now. He's apparenty had his fill of losing and losers. He also made a point of saying while he won't play for free, he has made enough money in his career that if he retired today he has no financial concerns. Don't know if he's still with the Poston Brothers - because I think those two never did him any favors.

If Ty Law can still play a decent corner, I'd offer 2M. Not saying he'd sign it. But that's what I'd offer for a 34 year old CB who has lost a step or two.

The problem is that he cant play a decent corner anymore. he is just way too slow. He moved like a snail last season.

Ty Law is no where near the corner he used to be, but I agree that the Pats should sign him if possible.

He would be a good mentor for the young cb's from the draft, and also Hobbs for that matter.

WEEI is reporting on it's sports flashes that the team has been in touch with Ty Law though no contract discussions have yet taken place.

Interesting......You had to figure the two parties would at least talk, now we will see if he is for real when he says he wants to return and puts his money where is mouth is.
