Convolution has nothing to do with it. You should have read their blurb more carefully.

Their point is, up to 7 teams can clinch playoff spots this week. They then list those seven (plus TEN and NYG for byes) and how it could happen THIS WEEK.

The AFCE champion is one of the two spots which can *not* be clinched this week, no matter what happens. That's why it isn't listed.
