If Cooks had turned into a Rusher, the play is dead when his knee touches the ground and he is touched down by contact.

As a Receiver Cooks must have possession throughout the whole play which includes surviving the ground. A Rusher can break the plane of the Endzone goal line, go to the ground and fumble, but its still a TD. A Receiver catching a TD pass at the goal line is treated much different.
Yes- I'm aware of the rule. That's not my issue.

Its Beanes fault for needing to go out and get Cooks because you drafted Coleman who is a head case.

The 2025 Bills are very similar to the 2019 Pats when BB had bring in AB and Josh Gordon.

This man is an NFL head coach and he just admitted he doesn't know how replay works...

McDermott: “We win with class and we lose with class.”

Reminds me of LaDainian Tomlinson, who told the media how classy of a guy he himself was as he threw a hissy fit after a playoff defeat to New England

McDermott should have lost credibility a long time ago when he blasted Jonathan jones for a perfectly fine hit on allen that happened to knock him out. I put zero value into his opinions

He really never had control, but even if he did, if he lost control by a defender landing on him when he hit the ground, it would still be incomplete because he didn’t survive the ground
Don’t think this is correct

The Bills have lots of experience losing thanks to McDermott.

I just posted the rule on the prior page - which part of the rule do you think was enforced incorrectly?

The Judge “catch” in Pittsburgh was the classic fake catch

Whas that Play by Brandin Cooks a Catch or Int by the Defender?? I thought the Offensive player gets the Catch advantage there.

If he had control for a period of time until a defender hit/landed on him and then the ball came loose, then yes it would be complete. If he hit the ground and the defender hit him at the same time and it came loose while going through the process of going to the ground and the ball came loose, then it is incomplete as described in the rule.

Bro read the last like 3 pages.

You have to maintain control of the ball all the way to the ground, if he's falling when he makes the catch.

He did not.

How is this such a skill issue for people?

Nothing would make Bills Fans sicker than seeing Maye in the SB before their Superman Josh Allen. Seems like Allen is snake Bitten at this time.

The fact that people are hyper fixated on photos is the whole problem. You can’t have a photo of surviving the ground. It’s a process. It has to be a video. It’s been this way for years.

How many catches have we seen over the years where the guy seems to get it but when he hits the ground he loses the ball and it’s ruled incomplete? A million of them. It’s the same thing. Only difference is instead of hitting the ground, the defender takes it.
True, but if there had been no defender, he would have survived the ground. "Surviving the ground" shouldn't really apply here. It was "surviving the defender". Cooks' knee and back hit the ground while he possessed it. Then as they rolled the defender wrestled it away.

McDermott going on the offensive and blaming the Refs is beneficial to keeping his job.

It is 100% correct.
No it isn’t. Ross said after he lands on the ground the defender can jump on him and take the ball away. That isn’t correct. People are also throwing in the football move. If a receiver catches the ball and falls to the ground while holding on it is a catch. Falling to the ground and holding the ball are the football move. A defender jumping on him after that can’t cause the fumble. During he can.
