Well, let's see what they paid for him. I'm not delighted about his pass coverage skills -- I watch him play a lot and he seemed slow by a step last year. But the Cardinals were a pretty down in the dumps franchise after Kolb got creamed, so let's see what he can do.
The one place you love having a guy like this is in the playoffs when it gets nasty and there's pushing and shoving and jawing. He won't back down from anyone. He has a severe nasty streak. I guess I worry a bit about culture shock. He's a one-team guy, from a pretty crappy franchise. Maybe that's a good thing -- maybe he has a rebirth when he sees the way things work in Foxboro.
He wanted to retire a Cardinal, and they let him go over $2.5 million. Now he's a Patriot, and maybe that's more than he expected and he'll play his butt off. I hope they didn't overspend.
