5-2 the rest of the way is conservative?
I could see losses against Buff/Balt and maybe one of Cincy/NYG/Miami.
Do I think think they will lose 3 of those....not really, but if I was being conservative I would say 4-3.
If Burrow is back (his practice window opened today), that game is not a cakewalk.
We've beat Tua once in 8 tries.
Balt is starting to look like Balt again.
Allen can win a game almost on his own.
Burrow's targeting thanksgiving, after we're done.

5-2 the rest of the way is really conservative, yes. Buffalo sucks. Miami sucks and just beat the dogshit out of Buffalo, and it will be 20 degrees when they play up here.

I'm struggling to find another loss. Maybe @Baltimore? But I think Baltimore's pretty overrated, and there's so much hopium nationally with them, the Chiefs and the Bills because nobody wants to be wrong about anything anymore.

They're just not that good anymore. The Chiefs LOST to Jacksonville, who just blew a 20 point 4th quarter lead to the Texans. Prisoners of the past. That's why so many of us here coped with Mac Jones, even though we saw damn well what was happening, the smoke and mirrors to get them off to that start.

These Patriots are not frauds. You don't go 8-2, top 10 offense and defense with a -1 turnover ratio, and be fraudulent.

Daminan Woody, on this morning's Get Up, said the road to the Super Bowl runs through Foxborough.

An 8-2 team which has been steadily improving going 5-2 against a roughly similar strength of schedule is a pretty conservative, yes.

Burrow is targeting thanksgiving last i heard and even if he does push it back hes gonna be rusty( see his week 1 performances). Tua is coming here in January, its gonna be freezing, and youre seriously worried about tua?????
Our last win against Miami was our first against Tua...ever.
Am I worried about Tua, no.
Do I think Miami could win that game, yes.
How many times did we lose to Miami with Tom when we were the far superior team?
They play us tough, I don't expect that to change because we beat them once in 8 tries.

I do not think we are frauds, not even close.
But this is the NFL, good teams lose games they shouldn't.
Buffalo does not suck. Do I think we are a better team top to bottom, sure do. Do I think Allen could play superman and win a game they shouldn't win, sure do.
I think 5-2 the rest of the way is realistic, not conservative.

Week 2 was close sure. Oakland also beat us week 1. i wouldn’t expect Oakland to beat us right now. We are much better now….currently a top 5-10 team, miami is still a bottom dweller with a lame duck hc. That game was in Miami, next one will be in foxboro in January . Not sure why the past would apply to the next matchup. If we predicted the games based on what the 2020-2024 patriots did when tua had this unbeaten streak then sure everyone’s expectations will go way down.

You think 5-2 is conservative.
I think 5-2 is realistic.
Difference of opinion is all.

We’re not that far off in opinion. I consider both 5-2 and 6-1 realistic with 5-2 the conservative end of it and 6-1 the hopeful end of it. 4-3 is certainly possible but i think one of the other 2 records are more likely. Its be a big disappointment for a team that is 8-2 thus far.

I would definitely be disappointed in 4-3, no doubt about that.
If we win all the games we clearly should win, and split our 2 tests against MVP QBs then 6-1 is possible, maybe you could even call that optimistically realistic.
Those Balt and Buff games will be tough.
6-1 would be lovely, looking at Indy and Denver's schedule that would surely get us the #1 seed.
5-2 might do it as well. I expect Denver to lose both games to KC. Then they still have Jax, Chargers and GB.
Indy has KC, SF, Seattle, Houston twice an Jax.
We have a clear path to the #1 seed, but think we probably need to go 5-2 at worst.

I am.
They score slightly more points per game than us, and give up slightly more.
We are 6th in point differential (+73), Buff is 9th (+51, played 1 game less).
They have their warts, but they definitely don't suck.

Yeah, for the 1 id say 5-2 is the minimum we’d have to do. Most likely the tiebreakers are not gonna look good for us because all our losses are likely to be in conference, strength of victory is likely to be pretty weak, and everyone else is beating Oakland so that hurts afc record/common opponents/strength of victory. So we pretty much have to beat them all in wins. On the plus side i don’t see any other afc teams finishing better than 12-5 when all is said and done.

Lamar Jackson will always be a pain in the ass. Flacco's ******** always trying to play spoiler concerns me. Pats also haven't beaten Russell Wilson since 2014. I think they can beat Buffalo again at home as this is the weakest Bill's team Josh Allen has had. With that said, Pats are winning at least 12 games.
These Patriots are not frauds. You don't go 8-2, top 10 offense and defense with a -1 turnover ratio, and be fraudulent.
I think the jury is out on every team. You can take any playoff contending team and point out massive flaws.

They won't be so tough in Foxboro in December. Even if they -were- tough to begin with. We beat them in their house in the summer. They aren't going to beat us in OUR house in December.

Plus, Tua has only beaten the bad version of the Pats. He never played the Brady Pats. His first year was 2020. Brady was off winning a SB in Tampa by then.

Yes, Rice, Brown, Worthy, and Kelce are a fine group of receivers.

Juju and Thornton are an OK couple of deep backups.

Jets x2
Bengals
Giants
Dolphins

The pats should beat these teams unless they turn it over multiple times. These are some of the worst defenses they’ll face all year.

The pats will likely either be the 5 seed or the 1 seed depending on if they beat the Bills at home. It’s hard to set realistic expectations until then. A SB run as the 5 seed is a tough sell IMO.
Pats should win the division at this point, so they won’t be a 5 seed.

It's really unbelievable how improved this team is in one year. I can't get the thought out of my mind that we could easily be 9-1 if not for their fumble fest against Pitt.

I think injuries, knock on wood, are the only thing that can hold us back from 13 wins.
