Will the games vs Eagles and Ravens make BB, McDaniel, Pees think more along the lines of more ball control for the last 1/4 of the season to keep the Defense fresh for playoffs ?

This could mean featuring Mr. Unbreakable more vs the Squeelers

Depends, are the Steelers DBs going to get away with mauling our wideouts?

I don't think deception is going to be a huge part of the game plan this week, the Steelers blitz a lot, so I'd guess we'll see the spread with a healthy diet of screens and inside handoffs out of the gun. Similar to our game plan v. Colts, and despite the score, we were very successful moving the ball against the Colts, the only difference was the Colts have great playmakers on D who turned two drives into turnovers with amazing plays.

The Patriots HAVE been practicing ball control offense. A complete passing play is the same as a run.

Just as the Colts whined and moaned to the league about their WRs getting molesetd by us two seasons ago, do you think the we would have also sent tapes of the Ravens and the Eagles game and see point out that the ref's are not making many defensive holding/PI calls as per their current rules.

Note that I specify 'current' because some Colts trolls were harping that this is what we are doing to them back then. Quite right except that we did play harsh and aggressive because it was allowed then. If the other teams are doing what we did three years ago even though the rules have been changed, then the ref's should call it right from the beginning and not late at the 4th q.

But irrespective of what proof and evidence we send, I guess the league is not going to give a rats a** to our complaints. Which is quite fine because our WRs are not complaining and taking the hits like a man. I just hope they don't get injured in the process...

i dont think running the ball more is the solution. remember we played the ravens who are very very good run D and ran for 90 yards combined against them which is a lot. Pats will pass if they think the matchups favor them there. i am hoping for more adjustments in the formations like putting moss in motion and bunching WR's together so jamming them isnt as easy .lets see if something like that happens. Steelers are another good run D so dont expect to see maroney do much which doesnt mean he cant. pats just go for the weaknesses.

No Polamalu(if holds true)........So Welker and Watson should be able to take advantage of the soft spots. I doubt Stillers blitz as much now
