Aaron Dobson Highlight Video

Patterson is gonna be a beast. Love what he brings as far as an all around offensive player. Catch, run, returns. I thought Terrance Williams looked really good in the games I saw him in. One receiver that should not be overlooked in the future is Da'Rick Rogers, got some late season playing time with the Colts and looked good.

That being said, as long as Dobson works out like a beast in the offseason with a Juggs gun, and working on routes, he could be an excellent receiver. Showed a TON of potential.

I think the Patterson hype is a little overstated, he looked like the 4th or 5th best receiver on the vikings. He is a great kick returner and dangerous on screen and reverses. He couldn't get any seperation, he had god awful route running and I almost never so him get open unlik!e Hunter, Dobson, Allen and Hopkins.
Williams looks like an average receiver to me, I watched a ton of cowboys tape and has no explosiveness.
I have only seen Rodgers on tape vs the Patriots and he looked terrible.

Hunter and Dobson both need to add some size and strength. Very Lanky. Especially Hunter who is 6'4 and weighed in at 196 at the Combine. Both will be studs if they stay healthy and become more consistent

Dobson looks to be a handful of plays away from becoming a good receiver. I think he has shown the ability to create separation down the field though and that's very important. He has the right mix of size and athleticism that we want in an outside X receiver.

But he has got to develop better consistency and hands. Hopefully as he becomes more comfortable with the system and the level of competition in the NFL, the game will 'slow down' for him. And that's when we will see him at his best.

That's pretty much been the book on Patterson from the outset. Unbelievable athlete, but dumb as a rock/sloppy even by NFL standards, which shows up in his ability to learn the playbook and run good routes. He's the kind of guy who will do just fine in Minnesota but would never make it here.

Allen was awesome in college, and he didn't fall to the third round based on talent. He fell mostly because teams were concerned about his knee and ankle. They've held up so far, but his performance this year doesn't invalidate those concerns. As a third round pick, you take him for his talent and worry about the injury stuff later, if at all- even if he flames out after a few years, it's good return on a third rounder. Bottom line, I don't think Keenan Allen being the best rookie receiver in his class surprised anyone, really. Teams that passed on him did so for other reasons, and there's still plenty of time for those reasons to manifest as real problems.

It looks like it was just a really strong year for receivers all around, based on early returns. I'm still liking the Dobson pick quite a bit, and I'm betting that he's going to make major strides in year 2.

Interesting stat Most yards lost on dropped passes in 2013:
1) Mike Wallace: 195
2) Andre Johnson: 176
3) Brandon Marshall: 159
4) Aaron Dobson: 155
5) Dez Bryant: 152

This is not in entirely a bad list to be on. It shows like in the videos that Dobson got open deep. He could have had a lot more yards if Brady was able to hit some of the deep throws to Dobson. There chemistry got better as the year went on however.

Here are my thoughts on Dobson. in 12 games (really 11) he got 512 yards.

If he had played all 16 games projecting out he would have had about 700. That is not bad for a rookie year especially considering how bad he was the first 3-4 games.

I see him as a possible 1000 yard WR. I think he can and SHOULD be this. He has the talent to be at that level. I don't think he has the ability to be a true elite but I see him being in the "Anquin Bolden" level. IMO that is not a bad spot to be.

Dobson seems to be great at running the deep/intermediate comeback routes. He pairs it nicely with the double move like we saw in the dolphins game for the TD

Remember Irving Fryar? The Pats selected him with the first overall pick of the 1984 NFL Draft...here...take a look at his first THREE seasons as Patriot .

give Dobson a little break with the criticisms . It is my opinion that giving Brady a future all pro center with one of their picks in this years draft, that Dobson's 2nd year will show marked statistical improvement.
