OL: Stevenson, Yates
WR: Childress, Kight
DL: Thomas
ST: Mayes, Spann
I suspect that Smith will be added soon.

I'd see Mruczkowski going shadow roster before they leave Britt open for Baltimore, Dallas, Tampa Bay, Buffalo, NYJ.... He has shown steady improvement in his game over the preseason, I'd be trying to shield him, Kaczur can join Hochstein as the primary backstop inside.Pats726 said:Or Britt in a few weeks...

patchick said:Interesting that all 7 came from the Patriots' training camp (as opposed to Wesley Britt last year from SD, for instance). That's a nice sign that BB thought he had a good, deep group in camp.

patchick said:I can't argue that a veteran QB would be more valuable than a rookie, but that isn't the real equation. You have to compare the value of these three options:
Veteran QB now
vs.
Veteran QB signed off street only if injury hits
vs.
Practice squad QB + Current Player #53
Of the three, I lean toward the PS. I'm not convinced that any currently available vet castoff is worth jettisoning another player from the 53, and an emergency QB from the practice squad at least has had a chance to learn the offense and watch Brady and Cassel each week.
