The idea is to draft 2 quarterbacks in the first 4 rounds. We will still have 5 picks for our other needs (3 front seven, a TE and a WR).

The expectation would be that one of them would be good enough to replace Hoyer in 2020. This leaves the Brady retirement date completely open.

First I'd heard of this idea. Interesting.

I don't love any of the qb's this year. One or two in our range might be worth a flier, but I think spending two picks is at least one wasted pick.

They have a real chance here to refill on young talent. Supporting Brady in his final years + building for the future. I'd much rather spend a few picks moving up for the right guys.

Maybe in a year or two. I'll be sorely disappointed if we waste a 3rd or better on any of the QBs this year -- it's not a very inspiring class.

All depends on the progress of Etling ...
I think Belichick will draft one high and one low and we will have 5 QB's in camp initially.
4 at the 1st cut and 3 at the 2nd cut.
Leaving open the option to bring in a cut veteran to replace Hoyer.
Etling or 1 of the 2 drafted will be the 3rd.

We don’t need to out think the room on this one. I get the sentiment but that might be a bit much.
