Comparing AJ Brown to Randy Moss is like comparing Aaron Rodgers to Tom Brady, you're talking elite player against a complete once in a lifetime freak of nature.

People like Moss/Brady break the rules that apply to the norm.

I don't think you ever want to compare to top 3 player at his position of all time why a trade is a good idea.

I know, but at the time Moss was viewed as done. Nobody was questioning whether he was once great.

It's not like Moss was even paid big bucks. It was sort of a prove it to us deal.

There are a handful of players that are exceptions, so the question that needs to be answered is AJ Brown an exception. Diggs did well after the age of 30 and I am sure that Brown will do well, but is it worth a 2028 1st? My answer is no

I would rate Rodgers higher than Aj Brown, in the scheme of things. AJ Brown is not a top 10 NFL WR.

I seriously doubt that those are the %s for many teams in the NFL.

The Patriots win at the top more than any other team.

But even ignoring that, it explains why you should never trade these picks before you become an established team.

If it’s a first it takes for AJ Brown I’d rather just run it back with Diggs

Brown is better at this point and a couple years younger but this team still needs to prove out it’s OL and get some semblance of a consistent pass rush before it sniffs perennial contention
