If only we had Wilson in on that play, maybe he could have tackled Walker. Sanders looked AWFUL on that play. Asante ddin't help either.

Had Wilson been in on that play and rapped Walker up, it would have been 10-0.

But, give credit to the Broncos offensive coordinator. As soon as Harrison got hurt, they attacked Sanders on back to back plays...and then even later.

Coaching was the difference tonight.

Yup, no doubt.

I still expect more from Sanders. I mean, he literally ran over to where Walker caught the ball. Stopped in his tracks and Javon was already 10 yards past him before he turned his head. Just a terrible play and it was the game-breaker unfortunately.

It would not surprise me to see the Pats make a move in the secondary, either Shulters or one of the other stiffs they brought in last week. That was a killer last night. If you take that play away the defense actually did ok, 10 points to a good team like Denver should be enough to get a win.

I certainly would have liked Wilson there. He sucked against the Jets and played well vs the Broncos but we end up losing. Sanders makes a horrid play and its the game.

I'm one of the biggest Asante-bashers here, but on that play he did was he was supposed to do.

He had the short zone, so he dropped the WR over his head to Sanders, who was far out of position. He was no where near the WR when the ball went in the air and then ran up after the catch close enough to see up Walker's nose only to watch him juke around him without hardly getting a finger on him.

Asante did what the play called for. Sanders did not. Horrid execution by the FS position and a great playcall by the Broncos along with a great effort by Walker to break it away on a nifty juke move.

EDIT: Granted, Asante didn't come back to the ball well and make the tackle, but Sanders should have held walker up for Asante to clean up. As it were, Walker wasn't slowed at all and Sanders actually got in Asante's way. Sanders, judging only from what I've seen on the field so far, is a bum.

Our tackling problems are perhaps the most surprising thing about this season. As we all know from BelichickFan's sig, BB appreciates how important tackling is to defensive exectution. So why can't any of our DBs tackle?

The irritating thing is we know these guys can tackle because we've seen it. Thankfully Wilson turned his tackling around last night, now we just need the rest to follow suit. Because our pass defense has actually been good except for the bad tackles. Sanders was late on the play we're talking about but the TD against Hobbs was good coverage, just a perfect throw and catch.

I was at work today and one of my fellow Soldiers compared Sanders on that play to Damon Wayans as "Handiman" on the old In Living Color Skit.

That was one uuuuuugly play...
