For all these reasons, this is actually one of my favorite SB teams. Not that they were the best but between rebounding from the SB loss to flat out sucking at times, to bringing in Gordon because they weren't good enough then losing Gordon and having to find a way. Then factor in one of the tougher playoff runs (in terms of opposing record in the playoffs) and it was quite the story. Hopefully this isn't the last but if it is, it's a worthy wrap up to the Super Dynasty.

And, yeah, I do remember poor Dion Lewis and "You know what happens when you go cheap? You (get your ass kicked) WIN THE SUPER BOWL".

Agree completely. It was as strange a season as it gets, but the ultimate win was no surprise. What it eventually comes down to is that any time you put Belichick, Brady, and the organization they have created in a 1 game win or out scenario the odds are really good that they will win. However, the way they transformed this team into a bully after the loss in Pittsburgh was as remarkable as it gets. After the SD beat down and Brady made his “ everybody thinks we suck and can’t win a game” comment you knew their upcoming opponents were in for the fight of their lives, and they finished both off. A tribute to a real team and toughness in every aspect of their game
