I think big plays like sacks and forced fumbles are an underrated part of measuring how good a defense is actually.
The 2011 Steelers defense were #1 in fewest yards and I believe close to #1 in points. However they were close to last in turnovers and sacks. They got smoked by Tebow in the playoffs. Coincidence?
