There's always room for a counterargument that there are a whole lot of false accusations stemming from the same cause.

Use your head. If there's more that hasn't come out, that could, possibly, constitute a pattern.

Either:

1. These two cases showed a pattern of behavior that was enough for the 49ers, regardless of legal charges being brought at this point, or
2. There is more that we don't see here that the 49ers are aware of.

Regardless, the 49ers get to make the call pretty much independent of any standards for process that is expected in nearly every other corner of society.

The point is that, for all the screaming about how the NFL needs to have a policy, the 49ers sure as hell didn't need it to make their move.

No, they just needed to wait until they were out of it. If they were still in it he would be starting Sunday. The moral of this story is to make sure you time your criminality just right, otherwise it could read " Super Bowl MVP is going to Disney before Supermax ( for all the kids out there-and you too Deus, that's not the waterslide by Goofies house.)
