I think this needs to be discussed. I know it is only 2 games but something seems to be not clicking here.

Going 3/9 just won't cut.

This is the main thing which has been holding the offense back from getting back to his usually 30+ PPG.

Though Pitt did a lot better on 3rd down both teams had equal 1st downs in the Pats/Steelers game at 21 each.
 
Third down is where they really miss Edelman. He was able to get open quickly and pick up extra yards when needed.
 
It's been a problem. Maybe it will get better when hogan comes back hopefully. I wonder if hogan will come back for the playoffs now. I would prefer he played a game to knock off the rust.

Also considering Edelman is on the wrong side of 30, I think it’s time to develop his replacement. It’s an important role in this offense. Even if he’s able to come back and be effective again next season, having insurance would be nice.

True but they were doing pretty good before the last 2 games.
