McCarron is in the same dog previously resided by Chris Harper who muffed a punt and directly led to Gronk's injury, gave away the Home field advantage to Broncos and ultimately caused the playoff lose. Think about it. A FKING muff can have this kinda of chain reaction.

Man that Chris Harper muffed punt, I saw that coming from a mile away. It was snowing, he was a rookie and memory doesn't help me here but I'm under the impression he bounced a punt before or had a muffed punt in practice, something to that effect. That was entirely on BB for putting a rookie in that position and yes, we lost HFA and possibly a SB on that game.

Oh but players play. F that. In that situation put someone reliable there and order to fair catch all the way.

I believe we were in the lead and lost it cuz the muff. Then the starters needed to come out again and Gronk injured his ankle. Nov 30ish 2015.

There are situations which fair catching the ball offers very little benefit, like the one we were in. Wes was as reliable as it gets and still muffed one in his last season with Broncos.
