They court has to hear the appeal. It's just a matter of when.. As for them expediting it, both sides agreed, so they probably saw no reason not to grant the motion.. Probably with the thought of, "Why drag this on longer than necessary"

The people sitting around in federal prison waiting for their 2nd circuit appeal to be heard must be saying "WTF!?!?!?!"

Don't let the case's humble beginnings (possible deflation of some footballs) fool you. This is actually a very significant labor law case. A win for Goodell would change the arbitration landscape significantly, and could result in either calls for major reform, or a revolt against arbitration in general.

At the risk of being overly simplistic, the issue at hand: Does deference to an arbitrator include allowing him to frame and defame innocent people? What sane society debates this?

No worries, Lou is constantly bashing the Goodell. I've seen two other segments (over the summer) where he took apart the NFL's answer to "who is Art Carney?" Goodell is an easy target if you actually use your brain.

I missed that one. It's a good one. Dobbs does an excellent job of summing up the important points of Goodell's insanity of bad judgement. I look forward to the next 6 months over which time the case against Brady and the Pats will continue to erode in in the light of the truth.

With every additional misstep the League continues to make they only make their duplicity more apparent and strengthen the coming defamation suit to the point of invincibility . .All the little ESPN deflections we are likely to see are going to fall on more and more deaf ears until eiven their usual water boys will be unable to follow them off the cliff.

The journey will be sometimes frustrating, because we can't just shout the truth can get it heard by all, but sky IS clearlubg, and with every day the Haters are reduced to ever wilder accusations, already proven lies, and just baying at the moon.

No way Brady would miss the SB.. No way the CA2 renders a decision within 4 days of hearing oral arguments..

Even in Federal Court, schedules in NY courts are more of a guideline than a firm deadline. I'd be amazed if we get a decision before the start of next season's training camp.

What do you think Roger Goodell will be doing by then?
