It looks like Caleb and Jayden are going one and two. So it's d. Maye vs jj mccarthy.
I don't think that's the case, I think most mocks have it split at 2 between Daniels and Maye but Daniels and Maye have not had their workout and Daniels has not been weighed.
Maye should have a phenomenal workout.
There is no debate between Maye and JJ, Maye in a landslide.

Listen ****stick I never said I'd give anything up for fields to play for the pats. I put a trade value on him. What I think his value is for other teams on the market.

Listen ****stik, this is a discussion about the Patriots, not what other teams are going to do at QB, so when you say he’s worth a 4th you are saying it in a thread about what the Patriots are going to do at QB.

Ideally pats could trade down to 6 with the giants, pick up 2 2nds. But that leaves the door open for someone like the Broncos or Vikings to move up to 4 or 5.
I do get Herbert/Josh Allen vibes off of d. Maye. He needs to fine tune and polish up but could be great. Gotta cannon. I get the "it" vibes off jj mccarthy tho. He's at least good everywhere but great at the intangibles
The stuff you can't measure with the robot tools
It seems like the Pats may be leaving money on the table, but if they are sold on McCarthy then taking him at #3 may be the course of action.

McCarthy has an opportunity right now to increase his stock, if he seizes the opportunity then that changes the dynamic.

If McCarthy turns into Brady-lite, the complaints will fade quickly.

It all depends on our QB whisperers and who they like.

If they like Maye and McCarthy equally, then they can risk a small trade down.

I don't follow college and can't make heads or tails out of all these stats. I'm really just all in on the people Wolf & Co. have put together to decide who to pick for QB. I hope they don't mess it up.

If you read all the posts you woulda seen I didn't want fields. And I scoffed at what patriots wire did in a mock draft pertaining to justin fields. It's completely reasonable to give a value on a player that a lot of people are saying could get traded to new England. A lot of the talking heads were saying more than a 4th. Maybe i shoulda been more clear but I assumed people would read all the posts before commenting on the last 3

No problem, there has been a ton of talk about Fields to the Patriots, so when you say he’s worth a 4th in a thread about what the Patriots are going to do I assume you are talking about that, because we haven’t been talking about what the Falcons or Giants are going to do at QB, just the Patriots. And as you can tell I’m completely opposed to it, not just because he failed in Chicago, but because he’s going to want 40 million plus this time next year, so I don’t know why anyone would give anything for him. And my hope is that Chicago can’t find anyone to take him and they end up having to keep him and take MHJ instead, pushing the QB’s down a notch. Although a trade out then becomes more likely,

After Wolf’s press conference at the Combine I don’t think we will be seeing any more Fields to the Patriots talk, or of them trading down, as it was abundantly clear that he really likes the QB’s that are available for them.

Cool cool
On another note, for some reason I feel pretty good about Elliot Wolff and this new offensive regime getting it right with the qb pick early. I think by the time the draft rolls around there gonna know who they want and they'll be right.

That's one of the big reasons why I'm reluctant in drafting him over a couple of other QB's. Also, even though he's thrown a lot of deep passes, his arm strength is not even in the top 3.

If he ends up being 70% of TB but with a significantly stronger arm (and with his athletic ability) and he can get up to 215 pounds at 6'3, I would take him at #3. But then I don't have time machine to see how these QB's will do in their careers. And, the same thing could be said about Mahomes. No one saw him being as good as he became or he would have went #1 overall.

Pats are in a good spot.
Caleb is the worst prospect of the big 3.
I don't gaf what anybody says
And JJ does not belong in the conversation.
I'd be thrilled with either Daniels or Maye. I just hope Caleb really goes #1 because I want no part of him
If he is somehow available at 3, Pats will take him and I'll be pissed off.
I'd go for MHJ in that scenario

Caleb's pretty much off my board.
Jayden drake or jj
And I think I'm leaning toward jj even if it's the 3rd overall pick

I reserve the right to change my mind in an hr. and again in a wk. but right now I’m all in on Maye or McCarthy. At 3. If you think McCarthy is a guy, don’t mess around with 6-7 picks of value, just take him. I’m cooling off a bit on Daniels. I love his legs and deep ball, but I just don’t think that translates well to cold New England games. The MOF ******** has me worried along with his size if he’s gonna be running the ball. Mayes is my guy 100% of the way and McCarthy just seems to have never been fully utilized. I like Penix but the injury history is a concern and Rattler could be a later rd dark horse.

Only thing that concerns me with Daniels is his lack of attacking the middle of field. I think he's got good footwork good mechanics it's all there but it's gonna take him a lot of good coaching to start going between the hashes. And nfl defenses will take the sidelines off of em.

I’m not sold that the team is sold on Daniels, but I think they want other teams to think they are. The narrative that they love all 3 guys has been getting pumped hard the last few days, as if to build a market for their pick. Maybe they’re hoping to make a trade before free agency? Or just get the narrative built really early? But if they sign Baker Mayfield in free agency it’ll make it harder to sell that idea.
