-Zachariah's brother
-Great size for a safety.
-Excellent tackler (never missed more than 2 tackles in a season. Career 7% missed tackle rate)
-Probably more of a strong safety than a coverage guy. 65.8 coverage grade last year.
-snaps are limited. 231 is the most snaps he's had in a season.
-Looks to have long arms. I'd guess 33" to 34".

I love his size and length and his tackling. We'll have to see whether the coverage is there this year to decide whether he's a good compliment to Woodson. Another reason to enjoy the Georgia secondary.



He's no 2 in this clip. The EZ view gives you a good view of his length.

Just looked at this thread and without just repeting what some guys say I get the impression that the Safety position will be well represented at the 2027 NFL Draft or have I just picked things up wrong ? Is there plenty of depth.

Good depth with some questions, particularly when it comes to tackling. A couple of good guys at the top but maybe not elite.

If he produces like last year, Bray Hubbard's athleticism could shore him up as a top 100 safety.

Last year, Hubbard earned second-team All-America honors from the AFCA as part of a superb secondary after he made four interceptions, 79 tackles, 4.5 TFLs and two sacks, plus a team-high six pass breakups and three forced fumbles. At 6-2, 218, Hubbard’s athleticism is impressive. He bench pressed 430 pounds, squatted 620 and power cleaned 365. He also vertical jumped 39 inches, broad jumped 10-6 and clocked 21.8 mph on the GPS.

Based upon these few clips, I do like alex McLaughlin. I do think he's a good athlete, can carry a TE in man coverage and is a sure tackler. I would like to see him be a bit more dominating in the tackle. Blow someone up rather than just tackling them around the legs. Still, getting them down is the priority. Probably more an early day 3 guy than a round 1-3 one.
