2026 UDFA Thread - aka Best Thread Of The Year

Well, comparing official draft weights, Williams was 284, Barmore 290, Durden 290, and Farmer 305. Taylor 304 and Pharms 274.
Tonga was 325.
Tonga definitely played more of a pure Nose than that group, logging around 40% of the snaps. So a different profile.
He played 40% of the snaps in the Super Bowl, so it wasn't that the coaches decided to leverage a different type of defensive line over the course of the season.
So the defense featured a Nose frequently in run situations. This draft was very deep in Nose Tackles.
So I was surprised they didn't opt for one, even in UDFA.
Maybe Gregory will beef up a bit for that role?
Baremore was 310

I think Gregory is still on the roster as well.
Between Williams, Barmore, Durden, and Farmer, there won’t be a lot of snaps left for a fifth guy. They also have Leonard Taylor and Jeremiah Pharms. Those mocks never made much sense to me.

Fair - and to your point, Gregory’s draft weight was about 320, so he’s close.

Not a big fan of the UDFA WRs they signed. But willing to give them a chance.

Gotta wonder if Arkin is going to be groomed as a FB with that size.

Kinda surprised they haven't added a center. 10 of the 17 O-line are Offensive Tackles. Which seems excessive.

I had a look at Kenneth Harris' PFF grades and you get an idea why he was undrafted.

coverage - 46.3
run defense - 38.8
Missed tackle % - 31.3

Those are about as bad as it's possible to be. Oklahoma State stunk last year so maybe that skews things but I don't think I'm going to start a Harris bandwagon just yet.

At first I thought this looked like a game at Tufts that I experienced back in the 60's, but we used to get literally THOUSANDS more people attending. I mean it didn't even look like the players dates for that night showed up.
Ah, Tufts in the 60s. Unlike Ken who has size, the only football I played was 11 man fraternity league which I loved. Even then the closest I ever got to playing QB was as the 173 LB full time blocking back. Played on "fields" that were hard pan and small stones.
