2026 UDFA Thread - aka Best Thread Of The Year

They really like Kyle Dixon. I liked his highlight tape that was posted. Now I'm officially in.

Dixon has good size and physicality at 6'2 220 lbs. Played at a small school but very productive with over 1,200 yards and 12 TDs.

Feels like he could be a slot+ player to compete for a WR3/4 spot.

Also we scooped them from the Colts who were very interested and had him in for a visit.

An update on some popular UDFAs

J Michael Sturdivant - Packers
Donte Corleone - Unsigned
Thanks for update that is a bummer on Sturdivant….big time WR playing against top level talent in SEC and at Cal…. seems like McDaniels and our other offensive personnel are more comfortable with small school low D1/D2 receivers… Wishing them all the best of luck!

Dixon and Rizy seem like the standouts to me as far as players with a chance.

Surprised that there’s no Tonga replacement.
Many mocks had the Patriots taking a nose in the first round.
Between Williams, Barmore, Durden, and Farmer, there won’t be a lot of snaps left for a fifth guy. They also have Leonard Taylor and Jeremiah Pharms. Those mocks never made much sense to me.

So why did he go undrafted? Just needs to add 20 pounds and he should be physically outstanding.

There are a few players on the PS list that I like better (on the surface) than a couple of players we took day 3. (I hate the QB and the BC edge instead of Uar. THAT would have been a great pick if only for the ongoing story it would have provided.

I don't want to go too crazy because it's UDFA and most of these guys will fail, but the front office did a great job identifying talent in this UDFA class. They found a lot of good to great diamonds in the rough.

Is this a football field made for…..ants ?
At first I thought this looked like a game at Tufts that I experienced back in the 60's, but we used to get literally THOUSANDS more people attending. I mean it didn't even look like the players dates for that night showed up.

Not for nothing, but I like RB Myles Montgomery almost as much as Jam Miller. They're both fast. Montgomery is strong also.

It's hard to tell with Alabama players and SEC players from the biggest schools in general, very often they run a forty and that's all. They give half hearted work outs.

But we have to automatically assume Jam is the better pass blocker, or one who has dealt with complex blocking schemes. Myles is considered a good blocker, but at a much smaller level of competition and in a rudimentary spread offense.

There's often a reason draft picks were taken.

You can usually find an old fatty sitting around after preseason ends waiting to get signed in free agency. A guy who can play 10-12 snaps a game.

But they could use another guy who can play NT besides Barmore... or they could use Onwenu if they were innovative. He was a two way player at Michigan filling in at NT.

Now is he 6'2 or 6'4? I keep seeing both numbers. Anyone got something definitive.

They need a solid backup nickel corner behind Jones.
I think Kindle Vildor, Kenneth Harris, Karon Prunty and Channing Canada will battle it out for the roster spots behind Gonzo, Davis and Jones. These four are kind of tweeners, not big... but not small slot guys either. Asante Samuel Sr was the patron saint of Patriot tweeners.

They will likely carry five, which means two will make it. They can probably sneak some on the PS afterwards also.

Vildor has the upper hand, he has been in the league since 2020. Kenneth Harris is strong like Vildor plus he's the most agile and really explosive, Prunty has two inches on Harris and was drafted. Canada at 4.3 forty is the fastest. It's a good group to bring in and kick the tires on.

6'2" 220 pounds at his pro day.

Draftscout rounds up the half an inch and calls him 6'3."

6-2 220
4.51 forty
40.5 vert
15 reps
131 broad
7.05 cone
