I was thinking the same thing, he wants top dollar but hes missed a lot of time do to injury. He was out most of his first year do to injury, and last year he didn't play till around the middle of the season with a ham string. So is Gonzalez a legitimate injury or a "Witherspoon got paid so, I want to get paid" injury
and if it's a legitimate injury that's now 2 pre-seasons were he's gotten injured and I guess we'll see if this injury has him missing extended time. If it is, that's 3 out of 4 seasons with injuries that got him missing real deal time . At that point the guy can't be salty when the team wants to put injury stuff in any new big money deal.
Injury concerns are valid.I was thinking the same thing, he wants top dollar but hes missed a lot of time do to injury. He was out most of his first year do to injury, and last year he didn't play till around the middle of the season with a ham string.
Ok, i thought it was more like mid octoberInjury concerns are valid.
However he missed the first 3 games last year, back week 4 and didn’t miss another game.
Not quite “middle of the season”.
He missed the first 3 games due to his TC injury, and IIRC he didn't miss any of the next 18 games. That is NOT sound like the "injury prone" CB you described.I was thinking the same thing, he wants top dollar but hes missed a lot of time do to injury. The Pats are talking about it as though it's a real injury. That said, I don't get the impression from anything I've read or heard that it's a serious one.So is Gonzalez a legitimate injury or a "Witherspoon got paid so, I want to get paid" injury

Im glad he has your seal of approval ....seriouslyHe missed the first 3 games due to his TC injury, and IIRC he didn't miss any of the next 18 games. That is NOT sound like the "injury prone" CB you described.
I don't care if he misses the rest of the week. I don't care if the reason is his injury OR a hold in. I predicted the deal would be done by now. I won't worry until it's next Monday and he is still not practicing. THEN....
Seems like we have a lot of good WR's to choose from. That Cameron Dorner kid looks like a player also Nick DeGennaro: we definitely will have some guys on the Shadow Roster who's familiar with our system. I remember BB finding some nice depth CB's in the Dynasty years: maybe Vrabel will get us some Quality Receivers via the same route.I had hopes for Kyle Dixon when he was signed, but has he been active even once?
We already have a crowded WR room.
On the other hand it will be easy to get him to the practice squad if we want.
If you follow the CBs, they all miss games due to injury regularly. Surtain, Stingley, Witherspoon too. Stingley missed multiple games in 3 or 4 seasons, Surtain has missed games the last 2 years (4 games and 2 games).I was thinking the same thing, he wants top dollar but hes missed a lot of time do to injury. He was out most of his first year do to injury, and last year he didn't play till around the middle of the season with a ham string.

Would that be as WR8?I hope that Dorner makes the roster.
