2026 NFL Combine

Which if these guys who ran a sub 4.7 are as good a blocker as Kacmarek in both the run and passing games?
Based upon PFF run blocking grades, none.

Max Klare, likely to run faster, has a marginally better grade and Nate Boerkircher of TAMU, who also didn't run but is highly thought of, does.

Matthew Hibner, Josh Cuevas, Bauer Sharp, Lake McRee*, Joe Royer*, Oscar Delp*, Marlin Klein have better pass blocking grades.

* didn't run but could well have better than 4.70 forties.

TE Forty Run 1

Dallen Bentley, Utah - 4.65
Josh Cuevas, Bama - 4.68
Khalil Dinkins, Penn - 4.73
Jack Endries, Tex - 4.68
JM Gyllenborg, Wyoming - 4.60
Matthew Hibner, SMU - 4.57
Will Kacmarek, Ohio St - 4.75
Jaren Kanak, Oklah - 4.53
Miles Kitselman, Tenn - 4.91
Marlin Klein, Michigan - 4.62
Tanner Koziol, Hou - 4.71
RJ Maryland, SMU - 4.52
Riley Nowakowski, Ind - 4.66
Eli Raridon, ND - 4.62
Sam Roush, STAN - 4.70
Kenyon Sadiq, Ore - 4.40 (locked in first round grade)
Bauer Sharp, LSU - 4.63
Eli Stowers, Vandy - 4.51

Average/solid class except for Sadiq & Stowers.
I may have missed it, but did Joe Royer test? He attended and was measured etc, but I can't see any testing results.

I will caution people not to fall too in love with those 40 numbers.

Training for faster speeds is STILL not down to a science.

I have a kid who trains with several friends under the supervision of someone who flies around the country regularly to train people. As I sit waiting for their session to be over, there's always a string of recognizable pro athletes coming into the facility, especially ones who are returning from injury. He told me this story recently. A top football player prepared for the combine by going to a well known trainer who used methods the guy local to me thought didn't work. The times for this player were going negative, he was losing speed. It took several weeks to turn him around when the local guy worked with him on an emergency basis. The player ended up with one of the fastest times.

This is not BS. I've seen NFL guys drop in. This guy developed his notoriety in NFL circles 10 years ago when he was Khalil Mack's exclusive trainer.

A lot of trainers are just borrowing the best methods for sprinters from track and field. But NFL bodies are different from track, and so are the developed muscle fibers. They don't have it down yet. You can easily have a much faster football player on the field with a slower 40 time.

Good size, 10" hands. Nice. I hope he tests today.

I'm talking about Stribling but it counts for Sarratt too.

As far as the TE group, i know a lot of you are harping on the blocking skills. But what this team needs is someone who’s explosive offensively. Henry is a really solid pass catcher, but nobody is game planning for him. I know there are no Gronks out there, but we need someone who defenses fear more than Henry.

Kittle 5th round, Kelce 3rd round, Andrews 3rd round, Ferguson 4th round, the you add Gronk 2nd round, Rudolph 2nd round, LaPorta 2nd round.

We have to find our TE of the future. Been saying that for 10 years, wanted to pair a good young TE with Gronk.and our scouting has bypassed solid to very good TE drafts for 10 years. And after the 2018 season, we didn’t draft any TEs in 2019, and Gronk decided late to retire, so we had nobody to replace him. It’s time to get that TE that is a mismatch nightmare for defenses.

It's why my ideal trade down with Miami to gather an extra 3rd is on my wish list to add more quality depth to our roster.
We'd have 6 picks between 43 and 131.

43. Max Iheanachor or Blake Miller
63. Ted Hurst or Chris Bell
75. Dani Dennis-Sutton or Malachi Lawrence
95. Kyle Louis
125. VJ Payne
131. Oscar Delp

Works for me.

You could substitute Jake Golday or Jacob Rodriguez at 63, and Antonio Williams or DeZhaun Stribling at 95, if you prefer.
