This is the exact reason why it’s hard for me to want reds and pat back as much as I do.
Just wanna add in playing Eason when they shouldn’t have to losing big AND stupidly….
Coach Berry was a very good coach, and we have to credit him for making it to the Super Dome.
But you and I both know it only happened because Eason got himself knocked out, vs. the Bills in '85 and in the Orange Bowl 14 months later, or there is no playoffs at all. He never saw, never learned.
And our so promising '85, '86 and '88 seasons went down in flames, and we'll never know what would have happened had he started Grogan in New Orleans and Denver, and later Flutie in Denver.
Our losing was especially painful because of the stupidity, as you said.
However, for me, nothing at all can or will ever diminish the determination, character, class, loyalty, championship play, courage and heroism of Julius Adams and all of his teammates, from Houston Antwine to Bruce Armstrong. Or Gino and his teammates, for that matter.
I for one, do not live under the shadow and at the mercy of Ben Dreith and the entire world including local Boston media whom he enabled and whose bidding he served, and their descendants including Goodell. James Busch Orthwein is not my daddy.
That they did it under Billy Sullivan only enhances their greatness, and the Patriots were great.

That is a fact which should be known and recognized by New England, and it should be celebrated and people, especially those who call themselves Patriots fans, should be proud of them. Instead of being brainwashed and fooled into going along with baseless denigration and abuse from total enemies of facts, reality, the truth, and especially, the Patriots.
