I don't think Vrabel wants a nose tackle, I think he wants linemen who can penetrate. But if he has a guy who can play nose, and is the better player he will keep them around and use them as fits.

He signed Tonga last year, a nose tackle. If Vrabel does not want a nose tackle, why did he sign one in 2025?

I guess I have to ask.

If Vrabel considers NT an important position, why didn't he sign one so far in free agency?

Because he intends to draft one or two with his 11 picks? Or maybe he will sign one later in FA?

Probably had too much Russini on his mind and forgot to sign a NT. Now that the Russini issue is passing, I would expect a NT pretty soon .

They had a NT at the time that Tonga was signed. The reason Tonga was signed was because they were making changes from the 2GAP system to the 1 Gap system and Godchaux was too expensive. So Vrabel told Wolf to trade or release Godchaux and they brought in Tonga as a potential stop gap. Remember, prior to the Pats, Tonga hadn't done jack in 4 years with 3 other teams.

People don't seem to remember how bare the cupboard was of talent on the D-line or on the team in general.

Gregory is the closest thing to a NT on the team. Deal with it
Im higher on taylor and gregory than durden
Your word salad isn't changing that. Have a nice day

So, you're resorting to making things up. Go ahead and show me where I said that Gregory wasn't a NT. While you're at it, you can also show everyone where I stated that a NT wasn't needed for a 3-3 or 3-2 since you couldn't be bothered to do it before..

The only person who needs to deal with anything is YOU. YOU need understand that opinions need to be supported with factual information. Ones that aren't will be scoffed and ridiculed.

Yes, You are high. That's not been in question. How you rate players is meaningless because you've yet to show you have anything remotely resembling an understanding of the game.

If you're going to use phrase like "word salad", you should at least have a basic understanding of what it means. "Word Salad" means "a bunch of nonsense". That's what your posts in this thread have amounted to, @Brady85-23. A bunch of nonsense. Because you make statements that you can't support with facts and you make things up that weren't ever said or implied by others.

Or, he intends to use Barmore and Milt Williams the way that the Vikings used Pat and Kevin Williams and not have a player in the Traditional mold of a NT. With the two of them alternating lining up as the 0/1 tech.

Dude I said I liked a player over others. An opinion. This is a very small opinion. No one goes hungry if im wrong. Youve insulted me multiple times for no reason. Cory durden is 290 he is barely a 3 tech. He is not replacing tonga. Im done with this childish nonsense

Oh look. You're quoting what Durden's weight was at his Pro-day was in 2023. Too bad that Cory Durden is 305lbs now. Maybe you should pay attention better because I never said that Durden was replacing Tonga at NT.

I've spoken nothing but the truth about you. If you take them as insults, then that's your problem. The only childish one in this thread has been you since you refuse to even answer basic questions as to why you have a particular opinion.

Hey. Look at that. You finally went and looked something up. I fully understand the player that Pat Williams was. It's why I've mentioned him numerous times.. It's also the type of DT I believe that Vrabel is trying to add for his defense. Maybe try reading what people are actually saying because you've been flailing around to this point.

If you ever talked like this to me in person id slap the **** outa you. Open hand, until you apologized for acting like a ****. You'd probably start crying

I'd talk to you like that in a heart beat. Why? Because you're a damned fool and just proved it, yet again. As for assaulting me, you could try. However, you'd end up being the one crying. All the way to jail. Fools like you can't handle people challenging your baseless statements. You think saying the equivalent of "Because I said so" is a valid response. It's not and it shows you're incapable of engaging in anything meaningful.

Instead of calling people ****s because they asked a reasonable question of you, you should go and learn more about the game. You should stop making s**t up and claiming people said things they didn't. To this point, you've shown yourself to be the issue and your projecting your inadequacies.

Jones, 28, was originally a fourth-round pick by New England in 2022 and spent time last season with Miami, where he started all 17 games and finished with one interception, two forced fumbles and six passes defensed.
Jones has had his most success playing press man coverage, which should fit well in new coordinator Raheem Morris' scheme with the 49ers. Jones adds depth for San Francisco behind starters Deommodore Lenoir and Renardo Green at outside cornerback.
Jones showed flashes as a rookie with New England, but got cut midway through his second season. He signed with the Las Vegas Raiders and made a big impact with two interception returns for TDs in back-to-back wins over the Los Angeles Chargers and Kansas City. Jones wasn't nearly as effective the following season, when his aggressive play contributed to him allowing 10 touchdowns in coverage, according to Pro Football Focus. He was released by Las Vegas last April and signed with Miami before the season.

Browning Nagle has passed away at the age of 57. I can recall having a bit of provincial pride because he went to a high school just a few miles away from where I lived, near some friends of ours. Louisville crushed Alabama 34-7 in a David-vs-Goliath bowl game with Nagle passing for 451 yards and 3 TD for Louisville. The Jets were going to draft Brett Favre, but Atlanta chose Favre one spot ahead of the Jets - so they selected Nagle instead. Poor guy never got that nasty green stank off of him. RIP.
