2026 Draft: Interior OL

This is what happens when you use PFF a little too much for your scouting.

Here is the PFF mid-season all-america offensive line.

Left Tackle: Carter Smith,

Smith is fourth among all tackles in the country with an 83.3 PFF grade this season. His 91.1 PFF pass-blocking grade ranks third in the FBS, as the redshirt junior has not surrendered a sack or hit on 184 pass-blocking snaps yet this season. Similarly, Smith’s 79.7 PFF run-blocking grade is also a top-15 mark in the country as well.

Left Guard: Olaivavega Ioane,

Ioane leads all guards in America with a 92.0 PFF pass-blocking grade this season, as the redshirt junior has only given up one pressure across 170 pass-blocking snaps so far. His 76.0 PFF run-blocking grade is also 12th among all guards in America as well.

Center: Logan Jones,

Jones’ 83.7 PFF grade is over three points higher than any other center in the country. His 78.6 PFF run-blocking grade is also the highest in the nation, while his 85.7 PFF pass-blocking grade is fifth. Jones has only surrendered two pressures across 171 pass-blocking snaps this season.

Right Guard: Logan Taylor,

Taylor is the only guard in the FBS with 80.0-plus PFF pass- and run-blocking grades in 2025. The redshirt senior’s 84.3 run-blocking grade is third among all guards in America, and he’s only given up one pressure across 104 true pass-blocking snaps.

Right Tackle: Brian Parker II,

Parker’s 93.5 PFF grade this season is three points better than any other offensive lineman in college football. His 94.0 PFF run-blocking grade is over four points better than any other FBS offensive lineman, and the redshirt junior still hasn’t given up a sack or hit on 229 pass-blocking snaps this year.

I'm in favour of giving rookies a pass, but Jared Wilson had a stinker today. I was hoping he'd show more sign of progress.

Logan Taylor, OG, Boston College 6-7, 312

He's not getting much draft love right now, PFF currently have him ranked at 445. However, he's one of the better graded run blockers among guards this season. His grades are also very balanced which is something I like:

Run Block - 84.3
Pass Block - 88
True Pass Set - 85.6
Zone Blocking - 79.6
Gap Blocking - 78.8

He currently plays RG but was a LG last year. He also played LT in his first year and has LT snaps as backup to Jude Bowry this year too. Maybe he's just a UDFA PS player but that versatility would be a useful addition to the roster as swing guard and maybe swing tackle at worse.

Here he is at RG moving Peter Woods

If recovery time for a torn acl is one year, I suspect his value drops quite a bit.

Ouch. Sorry to hear that.

So Manx, hypothetically, if both were available in the 4th round, who would you (= Vrabel) pick?

A. Conner Lew coming off an ACL tear
B. Brian Parker

That's not fair.

1. Lew has great tape prior to this year but is having a relatively bad year.

2. Parker has great tape but would be learning a new position.

It depends on how Parker looks at the Senior Bowl. If he Grey Zabel's it, he probably won't be there in the 4th but I would take him given the chance. If he struggles at C, then Lew because we have Bradbury in place so can afford to wait on Lew.

It wasn't supposed to be fair.

I just wanted to know what Vrabel would do.

Eliot Wolf, with BB as HC: "What should I do?"
BB: "Nothing, just don't get in my way."

Eliot Wolf, with Jerod Mayo as HC: "What should I do?"
Mayo: "How the hell should I know?"

Eliot Wolf, with Mike Vrabel as HC: "What should I do?"
Vrabel: "Check out Manxman2601's latest mock on Patsfans, get me as many of those dudes as possible."

You realise that last year was a fluke and none of 'my guys' will get drafted or signed next year right?

I saw a good point made. Conner Lew is a true junior. Presumably he just goes back to college for a final year.

That kid from Vandy, man that was a brutal double block. Inject that into my veins.

Kade Pieper, Iowa's RG is only a junior so may not come out and he's only 290lbs so will likely be a C only at the NFL level but, this is Mike Renner's pre-season summary of him:

Ranking Kade Pieper this high is probably a little nuts on my part considering he was a 275-pound backup last fall. My reasoning is the following: 1) His 108 snaps were that good, and 2) He is -- without any hyperbole -- the best athlete I've scouted along the offensive line. According to Bruce Feldman's Freaks List, Pieper recorded a 4.13-second shuttle and 37.4-inch vertical jump. That would be the fastest shuttle and second-highest vertical jump in NFL Scouting Combine history if replicated in Indy. He's obviously young with a frame that needs filling out, but it's all there for him to be a Tyler Linderbaum clone in time.
