2026 Draft: Cornerback

The highest ranked CB we've had contact with. currently ranked 254th.

Devon Marshall, who had 5 PBUs and 2 INTs in his second to last game of the regular season is a Patriots fan.

Some decent day 3 company for Wake Forest's Karon Prunty, a CB on our contacts list.

I've been thinking about this comparison for a while now:

Witherspoon is the last DB I can think of who played with Scott's kamikaze mentality. #5 overall pick, and worth it.

Keionte Scott is one of the 5 most disruptive defensive players in this draft, IMO. 3 will likely go top 10 (David Bailey, Arvell Reese, and Rueben Bain).

Scott is a day 2 opportunity to add a chaos agent to the defense.

Disruption = production.

I'd love that too.

Some uninspiring popular day 3 CBs

VERY interesting athletic comp for Karon Prunty, the corner we had in on a 30 visit.

Chris Johnson is getting some juice right now. A possible first rounder.

5'10 - 194
4.64-40 (Not great)
Short Shuttle: 4.40 (not great)
3-cone: 7.02 (very good)

Yeah.. Just not seeing the fit for the Pats..

I'm curious about the following:

Rodney Shelley must have a REALLY wide chest to have such a big wingspan..

Harris is closer to my "unicorn". I'm curious if anyone has noticed them when they've been watching either of these teams..

4.23 on the Short Shuttle is good..

My "Unicorn CB" would be:
5'11 -6'1 / 190-205 lbs
Can play both Outside and Slot
Runs under 4.49 40
34"+ vertical
Has good 3-cone and SS numbers.
Considered a project because he went to a Smaller D1 school or D2.

OSU and GT aren't smaller D1 schools, but Harris and Shelley are closer fits to the other stats..

I think this tweet sums up D'Angelo Ponds perfectly.

Couple of plays in that series that Ponds likely would have been flagged for DPI in the NFL.. He'll have to clean that up.. Still exciting to watch. Reminds me a lot o Marcus Jones.
