I think Brady has mentioned something along the lines that BB held them back from media endorsements like that. I really don't see how he could do that. I say players should get all the money they can from any endorsement deals because nothing is guaranteed.

I assume it was a recommendation, because the NFLPA would have filed a grievance if he was somehow prohibiting players from earning extra income. Moreover, the Pats had employees who worked to connect Pats players with business opportunities; I remember Heath Evans talking about it.
