On 3rd down, Jawaan Taylor commits an obvious false start. The play results in an incomplete pass. The refs miss the Chiefs penalty, but call illegal contact on the Giants.

They show a replay of the missed penalty on KC and Collinsworth downplays it by saying it’s only a 5 yard penalty. The next play is the long PI that sets up a KC field goal. So, yeah, missing a false start penalty is big deal. Especially when it’s committed by a player who has a reputation for false starts.
