Well, it's that time, once again.
Time for 2025 Season Predictions

The roster is (kinda) set.
Vrabes, Josh, and Terrell Williams head up a much more seasoned coaching staff.
All eyes are on Maye.
For many of us, alcohol is on hand for celebrations or lamentations.
Long term expectations are maybe higher than anytime since TFB was here.
Will the Pats be in the playoff hunt?
Will they be booking January tickets for Caribbean vacations by November?
You predict it all, right here!

We've got the regular season, maybe even including a playoff appearance(?), and around the league, we've got the playoffs, the Super Bowl, and any other predictions you want to make. Here's the 2025 Patriots schedule:

Damn that's pretty good.

Always an optimist, i think we’ll be in the playoff hunt with 9-11 wins. I see a similar trajectory as the 21 and 22 seasons. Slow start (so many new pieces and a qb learning a new system). Slowly pick up steam in that favorable midseason schedule and hopefully its good enough to sneak in.

I'm 6-8: I had settled on 7 for my number. I guess 9 is at least reasonable, but anything in double digits is just plain nuts. I don't really care, as I have said, hoiw many games they win this year, since this year is all about progressing n the rebuild and nothing else in my mind.

If an option was 7-9 I would have picked that but 9-11? Nah

Fair enough. Figured I'd keep the winning records together.

Also, I love 911s

I agree with your perspective here, insofar as my expectations go. Do I see 10+ wins? Possibly. Barely. But this is definitely about righting the ship and building this team into a true perennial contender of some kind.

Some smart physicality and even a little in-game intelligence will be great to see again.

Yeah. I'm not complaining at all. I just want to see the team improve, and I think it will. Even at 8 wins they will have doubled thoir victories: not a terrible outcome. I just think it's gonna take another successful season and post-season for them really to be back in real contention. I've been a fan since they were the Boston Patriots, so I've been through a lot of thin years, so I guess a year or two doesn't seem as interminable to me as it might to younger fans.

An entirely fair perspective. That's pretty much where I fall. There are no Super Bowl delusions over here.

My father had me watching the team during the early and mid 80s, but I wasn't truly a fan until 1991-1992. Those were far more hopeless days than 2022-2024 because I've felt that we're going to right the ship somehow. I did not have that kind of optimism back then.

Hate to tell ya they ain't winning week one. 6 to 8 wins.

At the end of the day, it all depends on Maye’s development and injuries. Maye plays like a rookie all year and key starters miss a lot of time? Might be looking at 5 wins despite the easy schedule. If Maye continues to improve each week and takes to the offense while we stay relatively healthy? 11 wins, maybe even steal another one because of the easy schedule. I’m splitting the difference at an 8-9 final W-L record, hoping it’s due to the injury depth issue while Maye progresses at a reasonable pace. Would put us in good position for 2026.

I saw the Athlon magazine at the grocery store yesterday. I immediately flipped to the AFC predictions. Where do they have the Pats? Last place. Who represents the AFC in the Super Bowl? The Bills. That gave me a good laugh and put the magazine back and walked away. This has to be the weirdest era I've seen watching sports. I see teams getting worse, but their expectations get higher (Bills).

Pats are going to surprise this season. I voted 9-11 wins. Look for a heavy dose of the ground game to loosen up the coverage for Diggs and others. Lots of play action and roll outs for Maye to give himself the option to run. They have the best defense on paper in the division and it's not even up for debate.

I think we go 9-8. I also think RLKAGP2

7-8 wins. Too many question marks to go higher. Window not open yet they still need more talent and a lot more depth.
