2025 / 2026 College watch thread

We'd need to go on a 6 game losing streak to have a shot.
Yup. There's such a big gap between TE1 and TE2 that any team targeting a TE will jump on Sadiq rather than wait for TE2.

All joking aside about Jacob Rodriguez and the Heisman, Sayin has to be the favourite but I think Jeremiah Love has established himself as the clear no 2, particularly if Notre Dame get in the playoffs. He's been insane in the last two weeks.

Lots of games this week so I am bound to have missed one.....anyway here goes Week 14 which I believe is called Rivalry week.....

I will be boring and will probably watch Ohio State v Michigan ....

Ole Miss (7) v Mississippi State
Utah (13) v Kansas
Georgia (4) v Georgia Tech (23)

Indiana (2) v Purdue
Texas A & M (3) v Texas (16)
Arizona (25) v Arizona State (20)
Ohio State (1) v Michigan (15)
Texas Tech (5) v West Virginia
Miami (12) v Pittsburgh (22)
UCF v BYU (11)
Oregon (6) v Washington
LSU v Oklahoma (8)
Vanderbilt (14) v Tennessee (19)
Florida State v Florida

Virginia Tech v Virginia (18)
Alabama (10) v Auburn
UCLA v USC (17)
SMU (21) v California
Notre Dame (9) v Stanford

I'm trying to work out when I sleep this weekend. CFB on friday and saturday, NFL on sunday, Patriots on Monday - a lot of which is at ungodly hours.

My current schedule

Friday

Ole Miss @ Miss State
Georgia @ Georgia Tech
TAMU & Texas

Would like to see Arizona @ Arizona St. but that starts at 2am so I'm not sure about that one.

Sat

Ohio State @ Michigan
Oregon @ Washington (not convinced by this one. (There's other decent games)
Alabama @ Auburn

Then there's Notre Dame @ Stanford but that starts even later at 3:30. I might not be seeing any daylight this weekend.

Some Dane Brugler nuggets from his latest podcast:

Anthony Hill - scouts see Hill as a 3rd or 4th round guy

Monroe Freeling is one of the more underrated draft eligible tackles”. Brugler doesn’t know if he’ll declare as he only has 15 starts under his belt and thinks he’d be better served going back to school but also says if he does declare he’s going top 100. “He’s big, he’s athletic , has thudding hands and good recovery skills…scouts kinda like him”.

Treydan Stukes is a draftable guy…any time we see Stukes versus Tyson that’s going to be a must see for NFL scouts”

Says there are area scouts that see Caleb Lomu as a day three guy. Says some have given him day two grades but says he’s one of the more polarising prospects. Highlights the lack of play strength. He does acknowledge that he’s a top 50 guy because tackles get pushed up but”definitely not the consensus when you talk to scouts around the league”.

Says Michigan EDGE Derrick Moore is playing with a lot more violence this year”. My ears perked up at that word.

The strength of Jaishawn Barham's game is speed.

"It might not be this year but every single starter for Ohio State's defense will get drafted".

"You have to live or die with Davison Igbinosun's physicality because you're not going to coach it out of him...as soon as the plays over he's immediately looking to the ref to see if there's a flag".

Says with Igbinosun's physical makeup he could certainly get drafted in the top two rounds

Caden Curry's motor is non-stop and he's going to find a spot. Ranks him middle rounds, perhaps early day three.

Is told Max Klare is 50/50 on whether he declares.

Scouts keep telling him to mention Auburn EDGE Keyron Crawford "6'4", 250, ripped. Impressive guy when he steps on the scale but he also plays like that. High effort, big time competitor. Scouts really like him."

Tennessee LB Arion Carter is playing with turf toe on both feet. Second in the SEC in tackles per game behind CJ Allen. "His reaction speed, his instincts just jump off the screen"

NC State TE Justin Joly should go in the 50-100 range.

Says rounds 3-4 is the sweet spot for the next RBs to go after Jeremiah Love.

That's a successful forward pass, by any definition.

Texas upsets the Aggies, which guarantees the Georgia Freelings - I mean Bulldogs - a spot in the SEC Championship game.

Thought for a moment that the Jelani McDonald face mask penalty might let A&M back in, was sweating.

If Alabama beats Auburn tomorrow, could be a Battle of the Binkies, with Monroe Freeling facing Yhonzae Pierre.

I didn't study either player but Cashius Howell came away sackless against Trevor Goosby and when I did watch Monroe Freeling he looked pretty good. Certainly good enough to draft although I still need to see him be dominant enough to entrust the right side of our OL to. I'm not saying he isn't, just that I need to see it when I study him. For now, unless Mauigoa or Fano fall, Freeling is probably the favourite for a swing OT role and future RT after next year. SMU's PJ Williams is the other one I want to watch for the future RT role. His grades, and the fact that he shut down Clev Lubin, make him interesting to me.

PJ Williams very good, would be happy with him. But I think Freeling will be Seabass 2.0. Hoping he comes out, if he stays we will be watching another team draft him in 2027.

Jyaire Hill with the interception over Jeremiyah Smith.

Michigan Player almost head butted an official. He got in his face, helmet hit the front of the hat and came close to the head. May have grazed it. Surprised he wasn't tossed for that. Only a penalty.

Jaishawn Barham. Very lucky not to get tossed.

Some GM won't let Harbor fall to day 3.
