Why are you surprised? The aftereffects of his roster decisions are still here. Going from a perennial dynasty to one of the least talented teams in football...yikes.
**** yeah... i would love thatToo bad they can't play Tommy Devito, Zach Wilson, Trevor Siemian, Gardner Minshew, Jimmy and Mitch Trubisky every week huh?
This absolutely did not happen. And the Jets just went full blitz mode during garbage time with no threat of run.
Maye's got some work to do here...
You are spot on expectations to start the year. A short week and injuries on the OL made it more difficult. This game feels worse because of the optimism generated by week 1. Let's see how everyone reacts to adversity. If the team still looks this bad as the season progresses that is when it is time to press the panic button.Yes. This is a bad team. Anyone who wasn’t viewing it with rose tinted glasses knew we were in for more of last year or worse since we have a new coach and new QB and are relying on a perennial back up
I've not heard "diabolical" used in this context but it's accurate.Game was overnight here in the UK so I just watched it "as live" on DAZN (with the adverts removed). Having the adverts pulled means the game only takes 2 hours to watch, which was a relief. On the downside it meant almost no pauses for breath in the Rogers/No 8 ballwashing. It became insufferable pretty quickly and made an utterly abject Pat's performance even worse.
Genuinely think we currently looked nailed on for the 2nd pick as Carolina apart, there surely can't be a worse team in the NFL. There are parts of our team which don't even merit being on a practice squad and they are starting. Yes, we have injuries but we also have a ****ing diabolical roster which isn't being helped by (at times) a coaching staff who are struggling to come up with any answers.
Feels like the first 2 weeks were as good as it's going to get.
ps. maybe it's just me, but I was pissed they didn't call a TO at the end and take a couple of shots into the endzone. We just accepted defeat and walked off.
AVP sucks and there was no real talent available so he did the best he could. Are the wagons circling around AVP yet or are we chalking it up to the o-line - in which case is it the new staff OR is it not the staff at all and did Eliot and Co. totally drop the ball not drafting a Tackle OR...was there no real talent available , so did he do the best he could....
My God, we suck don't we? What's for breakfast you ask?
LFG PATS!
Jets had a short week too.Short week of prep and it showed. Injuries are now too much to overcome on both sides of the ball. I expect a better performance next week. They will lose again but will compete. Bury this game tape and move on.
Short week at homeJets had a short week too.
I don't know about better. But running on the field after a fumble recovery in a blowout is very on-brand for himIt's amazing how much better Robert Saleh is this year compared to last.
Tavai slamming the guy into the ground like that is illegal and has been for a while. I don't like it either but, as a wise man once said, it is what it is.I never thought that I'd see the day that the NYFL refs would be calling penalties for perfectly legal hits that were considered too hard.
New Jersey is the closest team to ours. So it's not like a huge road trip (unlike like this week when they have to travel 3000 miles).Short week at home
Don't say "We're going to run it" or "We're going to get the WR's more involved". Just say, as Bill did, "They have a good team over there" and move on to the next question.I was just asking you how being tight lipped wins games.
Yeah... I see your point. It definitely a different culture. I just think the game was over after the first offense snap. We played a former MVP, future HOF QB last night. Roger's has weapons at his disposal.. 2 great backs.. guys on the outside that get open.I don’t like seeing Brissett speaking at the podium after the game with a smile on his face. I would think he would be pissed about the team getting embarrassed on national TV. Also Maye in the locker room laughing while answering questions. A different culture being put in place here.
Disagree. He's the biggest clown here. He even has the red nose and floppy shoes.Wozzy.. your a good poster you know very well Brissett isn't good.
I know.. I just like to mess with wozzy.. I don't even think he believes his own post sometimes.. LOLDisagree. He's the biggest clown here. He even has the red nose and floppy shoes.
