Giants are hopefully taking a qb right? Im wondering if jax is the only team of the ones in doubt that we really need to get ahead of. Truthfully though i might just be happier grabbing tet at #3 or 4 and signing a cb in fa so that you don’t really need hunter, some say tet is the better wr anyway

Ya probably. I actually want the highest pick so we can leverage it in a haul.

There isn't any particular player out there we must have.

A dream scenario is we get the number 1. And teams like the Giants and the titans who desperately need a QB have to compete with each other to move into our slot in order to guarantee they get the guy they want and thus giving us quite a haul just to move back 3 or 4 spots.

Mayo and Van Pelt were absolute cowards after the Gonzalez INT. Maye had missed 3 throws in the game Running it up the middle twice was gutless and if you are gonna run it why not Gibson?

Absolutely sucks that Kraft wont do the right thing and clean house of Mayo and the coaching staff after the season because he supposedly has had Mayo handpicked since 2019 and it would mean he would have to admit he was wrong and he won't do that.

It's kinda funny. And I wanted to be done with all the old regime retreads.
But, Vrabel HC (& DC) with JMD OC would probably be a great pairing to turn this around quick.
I would like AVP to steal Andy Reid's playbook.

I dunno, I have zero problem with this result. Offense, aside from untimely penalties, played well. Maye was great, run game was very good, D was solid and Slye nearly got an NFL record. Plus, they did anll of that and preserved their top 5 draft position.

I get fans want Ws but drafting in the teens is not the way for this team to improve long term.
I wouldn't have agreed a few weeks ago, but when you're 3-9 and half the league has only 2, 3 or 4 wins, then an exciting 1 point loss is the best result. We would've dropped around 5 spots in the draft with a win today, so a W now doesn't have more benefit than maintaining that #4 pick status. I don't see us winning @AZ, @Buf, vs the Chargers or vs the Bills either.

Defense, again was terrible. Covington should be fired today.

The rest is a talent issue.

Henry himself said he should have caught the ball
Maybe. I really like Maye, and I love his attitude and everything abut him. Being critical of a play of his does not mean that I think less of him. He will be a great one for us if we surround him with the right people. I just feel that because he tries too hard ,he makes a bad throw every game and I am afraid that this will be a hard habit to break if he doesn't get the right coaching !

That's a catch we've seen Welker, Edelman, Troy Brown, Gronkowski, etc make over the last 20 years. I have a very hard time putting that on Maye. Henry had it twice.

They don’t use proper technique, they clutch and grab, they get their arms outside instead of keeping them in like they are supposed to.
They may not always finish the hold but they perform all of the elements of a guy getting beat and holding. There aren’t 22 refs on the field to watch ever player every second.
Why not just admit the holds were bad calls. 5 were called that I'm aware of: 3 of them didn't happen at all, and the other 2 happen every play, ticky tack.

The offense had one good drive. Let's not pretend they didn't go in the redzone like half a dozen times and get stopped.
They at least moved the ball today. Sometimes that isn’t the case.

It’s Amazing how Maye can throw to the wrong shoulder and hit the receiver in the hands and throw 80% completions and get his accuracy questioned while just this week I watch Mahomes and Jackson each miss at least 3 wide open guys for big gains yet people think they are accurate.
Maye is already one of the most accurate NFL QB’s and if there was a stat for having to throw into tight windows he’s probably ahead in that stat by a ton.
A few weeks ago his advanced stats had him the most accurate thrower for ball placement in the NFL. He’s not perfect but he’s already as accurate as any QB in the league, and honestly he is doing things on tape I’m not sure a rookie QB has ever done.

Because I am explaining why they get called instead of crying about it.

Watching Carolina on red zone...their D is far superior to Mayo's

that is all. This is not a sign of good development. This team has not one clutch bone in its body.
Moral victory. And our draft pick is still top 5.

I didn't expect us to set the world on fire, we are in rebuild mode. This is year 1 of the rebuild post-BB.

This was a game they should have won. A game that poor coaching lost. Again

Tremendous effort today. A couple of bad bounces, no help from the refs.

I think if anything the Patriots tried too hard. But a lot of encouraging plays on offense, defense and special teams.
