Eh, I bought into the Maye hype. Should have known better. Thought he would have provided a spark to the team, and for a series and a half, it looked that way... but that spark was snuffed out by ****ty play and the rest of the litany of things that have gone wrong all year...
after the first quarter Jacksonville figured out what we were doing and adjusted to stop it... its the failure of our coaching staff that we do not do this, or we do not do this well enough... Am I wrong? Am I the only one who thinks we go into a game with a plan, and stick to the plan, no matter what? Say what you want about the talent, but they are talented enough to catch passes, to score td's... we've seen it... not its up to the coaching staff to put it together...
in 1994 we played the Minnesota Vikings,,, the Vikings put us in the woodshed in the first half... Parcells made a pivot, and Bledsoe threw for like 70 passes in the game... adjust to the situation, no matter how unbalanced it is... that's a key element, being able to make decisions based on the current situation...
we should have done that today... if the reason for the lack of adjustments is the pass pro, so ****ing what... the OL coach needs to grab a few facemasks and let those guys know - tough ****, its on you to do it... so do it... they won't get better unless they practice... and since there are no pads in practice anymore, then **** it... practice in games til they get it right...
