Catching up on some highlights (not home and can't watch). I know it's only the first start, but I really think we would have been better served long term to get a top OT or WR, let Mac get bullied while we rebuild the line, and get a better QB with steadier, more cerebral play.

Thats a KILLER penalty. Like 40 yards in field position. One of these refs probably have money on Houston. They should know Houston probably doesn’t need them to cover though, don’t gotta make it so obvious
Playing both sides is not sustainable in the NFL. I want the best LT unless we get the first overall and get a crazy haul at which point it should be LT, RT and Gs with first 3 or 4 picks.

Yes it does. There is zero benefit to put him behind a line that cannot provide adequate protection. You've knows since week 1 this line cannot do that. There is literally nothing to learn from "playing for my life". There is no development going on here. The only happening is the reinforcement of his bad habits they have been trying to fix for months.
