JPJ is a top 5-10 prospect in this class. He'll be graded higher than most of names we're talking about. I doubt he makes it out RD1. Again pure grade he's up there with anyone. He looks like potential top 15 guy next year.

You could keep this going for another 3 minutes.
Sweet little gallop step against USC. First play is great and really shows off his power and awareness taking on second contact.

Definition of playing through your hips.
Gathers a ton of power from his lower half/core. Just coils up and explodes and locks out at times. Just presses and moves with ease. He brings so much to the table but he's always first off the ball and first to make contact. He brings very good placement with his strikes but first contact is so important. He's super impressive. Has the quickness and efficiency in his steps to reach a 3t, hit targets in the 2nd/3rd level. Very agile, soft steps. His awareness is plus plus too. Not just the simple things like anticipating or responding to games up front but while the bullets are flying. He's always keeping his eyes moving for secondary contact, late pressure etc Hard to fool him. Plus grip strength. Generates plenty of torque with ease. Versatile along the interior but natural middle man up front. He could tighten up a few things (plays a bit too high at times, feet stall out at times, will try to do too much which will leave him out position) Like a lot of center you'll occasionally see length issues but no one is perfect.

Watch Jayden Daniels highlights and you’ll see the exact same thing.
Just one more reason why Drake Maye being there at #3 would be not too shabby. I can see him being there if the 2 teams that pick before us want a Lamar Jackson type.

Is this one of the reasons why some are saying that Malik Nabers is better? I've heard Nabers compared to Justin Jefferson.
Nabers is more twitchy, more yac driven (NFL is a lot yac yards thats how most get their money), forces more missed tackles, will probably play in the slot more which is an easier spot than X which Marv will most likely spend a lot of his time (Although you can move him anywhere as well). More manufactured touches. All that translates very well and he obviously passes the eye test. Crazy production. Only 20. LSU is WRU.

Honestly he's not that far behind. Neither is Odunze fwiw. All three are legitimate 1st round guys. The rest will be drafted on need, projection etc but those three are special. Chase and maybe D Smith are the only guys that would be in that group over the past few years imo. In terms of where I'll have them graded.

Thanks. Great to see your posts. I read somewhere, do not remember where, that this is a 4 round draft. After the 4th round there will be a significant dropoff because so few underclassmen have declared.
Honestly every draft is 4 rounds. On my scale for instance there's basically no difference between a 5th or udfa.

Yup only 58 came out.

And that's who teams show up to draft. For example not many scouts care that Legette posted 1250/7 as a 5th year SR against younger kids. He had about 400 yards combined his previous 4 years. So yea teams show up for the youth for the most part.

Hope all is well brother

While I generally agree for most positions, I think that solid OG candidates are often much more available in the 5th than later. (also, obviously, the same is true for special teams specialists).

"I could be in the minority" when literally all everyone is saying is Wilson reminds them of ASTB. This space has been taken over and watered-down so bad. Original thought is out the window nowadays.

*edit* keep posting I'm just a hater.

Who are you wanting at 3?

This is something that I have thought of as a possibility, while the common thought seems to be that Williams is clearly the top QB prospect.

His personality concerns me.

What if he is there at #3 when the Pats pick?

If he is I would hope for a trade down.

It’s all good..

I wouldn’t be upset at all with MHJ at 3, however I believe we need a QB badly. Alt should be a cornerstone LT for the next 10-15 years, but I don’t see the value picking him 3rd overall, when we need a QB and weapons. I really like both Maye and Daniels for different reasons. People keep saying “don’t take a QB just to take a QB.” Yes, that’s obvious, but I feel these two QBs are extremely dynamic and “not your average” QB that comes out every year. Also, when will we have another opportunity to draft top 3? We could hypothetically suck next year, but end up outside the top 8-10; will we have to wait to pick a QB in 2026?? **** that..Besides, I’m not high on next year’s batch at all..What about you?..

Somebody is going to fall in love with him
Or an owner who wants to sell some seats

Trade value will only go up

And if there is a top franchise QB or two next year, why do we think that we would be able to be one of the teams to get one of those QB's?

Personally, I would be extremely unhappy with a WR at 3 or 4 or 5.

However, I would have no issue with trusting the staff if they judged one of the top 3 QB's to be not worth drafting at 3.

In this case, we would be trading down to a team that a very higher value on one of the 3 QB's and he top 2 WR's.

I would still expect a QB in the first round, probably top 20.
==========
I would celebrate the choice of a QB at 3 o4 or 5. That would mean a commitment by the staff to develop a very highly talented player, even if he doesn't start this year.
