There isn’t a significant gap between them. Nabers just needs to improve his release against press man.

There are 10 tackles who could go in the 1st round.

Meaning, anyone of them could be selected in the 1st round, and no one would blink an eye.

Taking a tackle with the #3 is maybe the dumbest move a GM could make here.

I'm not even counting Kiran Amegdiaje and Blake Fisher among the 10.

I’ve been thinking the same.
I like Nabors as a game breaker more than Harrison Jr.

I suspect that I'm in the minority here on this, but if the Patriots are able to address OT and WR between FA (especially at WR) and the draft (unless Drake Maye falls to us at #3), I would love to get J.J. McCarthy and have him sit his rookie season or two while the rest of the offense is built up. I would sit Drake Maye for his rookie season as well (who would be my first choice in the draft at QB). But if we address OT, WR, and such, I wouldn't feel bad about having McCarthy as our QB of the future.

I'm warming up to McCarthy as well.

You can get a 1st round WR at #34, you can get a 1st round tackle at #34. You can’t get a 1st round QB at #34 though, it has to be at pick #3.

I’m just hoping the front office likes both Maye and Daniels.

Hard pass on an unproven #1

I agree. This draft is exceptionally deep at WR, double dip at the position. They can either trade up for a tackle in the 2nd half of the 1st round, or a WR, depending upon who they like more on draft night.

It's essentially 3 #1s and a 3rd if you look at the Tyreek Hill package.

So yeah, the value for trading for Jefferson is there if the Vikings wanted to do it.

Then you'd need to sign Kirk Cousins.

No thanks. I don’t want an old expensive mediocre QB with a receiver who is going to cost 30 million a year. Love Jefferson but ths is like buying a Porsche when the only roads around you are logging trails.

It would be so much fun to have a QB with the ability to take off for fifty yards on 3rd and long. I would have a hard time waiting until the night to watch the game.

I am really warming to the idea of drafting JJ McCarthy.

How high?

Will he move into the 1st round?

Seems likely.

JJ is Mac!
Very limited physical traits, benefited from a vastly superior team around him, including amazing run game and OL.
I also don't like the "aw shucks" (overly fake gleeful everything is grand) personality that Mac and JJ share.

No Way!

He is a unknown because Michigan was run heavy
Saying he is Mac with limited physical traits is false

He is 2 inches taller, really strong arm and he has wheels
I am not saying he will be better than Mac.
But he is not the same player as Mac other than he had a great team around him
I have been reading and watching clips on him lately

He has warts like the other 3 QB’s at top of draft
We all have no clue about the the ins and outs to any of these guys
If the Pats have him rated in the top group of QB’s then I would rather drop down to 10 range and get a bunch of picks including future 1st’s.

This team needs a lot. A player in the Top 10 gets them their QB. Plus some 2nds and next year 1st’s
If they like him and think he will be there in the 2nd round
Then take your OT with a small trade down and a few extra picks
Or take MHJ

That all depends on how McCarthy grades out
If they have the top 3 way ahead of him. Then this is a mute point

What are the chances that the Pats could go to Brady’s Alma mater Michigan, to find the replacement for the GOAT, and he ends up picking up where TFB left off.

Too improbable.

Right?
