Seems like coaches either flat out lied or are completely disorganized
I mean, the Pats trotted out Ocho Cinco despite it not working for that same very reason. There is a human element and some players you gotta do "right by" even if the on-the-field product might suffer. Especially if we are talking about backups, politics def matter
