Sow was very good last year, it's a massive presumption thinking this guy will be better than a rookie who earned a starting position out of camp last year.

He was great at guard, but didn’t do a lot at tackle during the season

Jermaine Burton just went... would have taken him over Polk and gotten a tackle earlier.

There was zero chance he was ever coming to us with all the issues surrounding him, which is why he lasted as long as he did.

How does that remotely make him an NFT LT? He had issues with speed rushers in college on the right side. Will he get better with the superior speed rushers on the left side in the NFL?

I love when teams can take a prospect at a spot, but trade down and still get that player. This is what the Patriots did, so they should be graded highly for it. Ja’Lynn Polk makes sense here as a second-round prospect, and he fills a need. New England did well to move up into Day 2 and still acquire him.

Sow looked good at RT in camp, he didn't play at RT in the regular season, they thought it would be smarter to play him sandwiched between two vets and kick Onwenu outside... it was smart at the time considering all the coaching/front office chaos.

I'd put my money on Sow starting on the line over Wallace, Okorafor or any fee agent they've brought in.

Why exactly do they need a RT?

Michael Onwenu is a Guard but played outside and got payed like a RT.
In my opinion he is a better guard than tackle
Plus we need depth at the tackle positions with starter potential.
He got drafted in the 3rd round.
Not like he is a sure fire starter

LSU is a WR factory, Washington not so much... but they had a stud QB.

Listen at the end of the day we had to choose between drafting a QB high or going for one of the premier WR/OT in the draft. There weren't any good trading partners, we went QB and yeah it meant one of the biggest offensive runs in first round history left some less than flashy names in the remaining rounds.

For WR, seems like the league is pretty high on Polk and Mitchell was the only serious consideration over him and he was passed over by multiple teams and taken 15 picks later. So obviously not many were THAT stoked on him.

He is 3rd rounder, not a top 10 first rounder. He is a backup LT who will compete this year and next year. Perhaps, he will be a swing OT.
