DRAFT DAY DISCUSSION 2024 Draft Day 3 LIVE Discussion Thread

Seems to tell you what the front office actually thinks about the guys they drafted last year. And possibly Strange’s health. Kind of like drafting Joe Thuney in 2016 immediately after drafting 3 guys in 2015. Only Mason from the 2015 bunch turned out to be a keeper.

The only thing it tells me is that Wolf sucks at managing resources. Especially since HE had major input on the players drafted last year.

Andrews and Sow played very well last year.

With all the players they already had on the O-line, drafting Robinson is piss-poor use of resources. And it doesn't matter if they are signing Gilmore. They have bigger NEED at CB and Safety than they do at OG. T

I think Franklin is better than Tyquan. Tyquan hasn’t showed me much and will be on the roster bubble this year imo.
They drafted backups starting with the second overall pick and haven't stopped.

Would have to assume he has the ability to play tackle. Have to wait until he meets with the media later on to get some additional context.
Another 4 position OL?

I bet AZ RAN up to grab Taylor-Demerson.

This 4-13 sucked. Most 4-13 need help at most/all positions. If any of the draft picks can become a player; I’m all for it.

‘We have guards’ but they were - at times - part of the reason NE was 4-13.

I’ll reserve judgment until the Fall.

Seems pretty clear that the staff isn’t particularly happy with some of the the OL holdovers. I don’t mind the player but I do think he would have been available later on to select.

no tackle experience has he?

Did Sow not look good? He looked good.

The 2015 guys were lower picked, no? Tre Jackson had a knee displacement which ended his career.
Was just 2 guys in 2015, not 3, my mistake. But both guards taken in the 4th round. Yes, Jackson had a knee problem.

Mafi and Andrews seem to have a talent problem. Sow looked decent at RG, I agree. But if Strange is hurt, they need someone else to play LG.

Only issue it they are selecting the wrong positions on the OL
Andrews isn't getting younger. Strange is recovering from injury. And Onwenwu plays tackle often. So let's not over think it. We all knew we needed OL. It's boring but gotta do what you gotta do.

Giants took Theo Johnson, why would the Pats want an uber athletic TE when they could draft a guard who likely won't make the roster except for the collaboration station taking him?

I am expecting a trade down
Someone is going to want Rattler. Although he must have major red flags. No QB since pick 12 with some QB needy teams left
Hope they don’t move too far back.

The whole OL was injured and beat up for several games to start the season. Sow for instance. They looked good when they got healthy but our QB was shot by then.

Our OL wasn't even our OL for much of the season. Mafi, Lowe and McDermott were starting
